[学情分析]
初三学段的学生们对英语学习已经表现出倦怠的状况,因此在教学中我强化知识的同时着力培养学生的学习兴趣。同时,该年龄段的学生也很在乎他人的评价,所以在学习过程中我通过鼓励性评价等措施,在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,创造更多的机会,鼓励他们多说英语,树立学好英语的自信心。通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦,从而提高学生的综合语言应用能力。
[教材分析]
Section B 1a-1e部分是Section A The Shirt of a Happy Man的继续和延伸,这部分教学通过听说活动巩固和拓展了单元话题中的目标语言。同时,1e部分针对poor man关于幸福的观点可以让学生进行一场辩论,要求学生从谈论事物对人的影响拓展到对幸福观的理解,同时鼓励学生讲述这个完整的故事,从而有效地锻炼学生的听说能力。
[目标分析]
1、 知识目标: 熟练运用make sb. …句型。
2、 能力目标:1.延伸思维发挥想象力,为故事安排合理的结局。
2.能熟练的用英语阐述对某事物的看法且能流利地复述完整的故事。
三、情感目标:树立正确的人生观价值观,培养积极乐观的生活态度。

Step 1 Ask Ss questions about the story about the Shirt of a Happy Man, and T makes a description. Then T says: We all want to know if the general can find a happy person, right Review the last lesson to learn the new one.
Step 2 Ask Ss to look at the possible ending to the story about the happy king in 1a, then discuss if there is a right one. In order to stimulate Ss interest.
Step 3 Ask Ss what are some other possible endings to the story and ask them to discuss with groups, then Ss talk about their ideas in front of the class. In order to stimulate Ss interest and lay the foundation for the following.
Step 4 Listen to The Shirt of a Happy Man (Part II) and check the things that happened in the rest of the story. Ss work together, then T gives the right answer. In order to develop students’ listening skills.
Step 5 Listen again. Ss listen to the tape and think about the following questions. Then T read the questions and Ss answer them. In order to develop students’ listening skills and the ability of thinking.
Step 6 Listen to the tape again and ask Ss to recite the whole story. Let Ss feel the integrity of the story, more importantly, develop Ss’ memory ability and speaking skill.
Step 7 Pair work. Ask Ss to discuss the poor man’s thoughts about happiness with their groups, Divide the class into two groups, one group represents the positive view and the other represents the negative view, then two groups have a debate competition. Develop Ss’ the listening and speaking skills, more importantly, develop Ss’ logical thinking ability.
Step 8 Summary Set up correct outlook on life values and cultivate a positive and optimistic attitude towards life.
Step 9 Act out the whole story. Ss role play. This activity can stimulate Ss’ interest in learning and cultivate Ss’ language ability.
