1. New words : unexpected，backpack，oversleep，by the time
2. Learn about the past perfect tense.

Talk about past events with past perfect tense.

1. 教学重点：过去完成时的用法。
2. 教学难点：用过去完成时叙述过去的事件。
三、教学过程
Step I Warm up
Have you ever been late for school ( Yes or No )
What happened
2. Tell an unexpected thing teacher once experienced .
【设计意图: 引入新的语法项目---过去完成时, 让学生初步感知。教师讲述自己迟到的经历，激起学生对以下内容的学习的兴趣。】
Step II Presentation
1. Watch the short video , learning about the past perfect tense.
2. After that，lead Ss to summarize the grammar points.
【设计意图: 通过观看微课，先让学生自主学习，然后再引导学生归纳要点，使学生系统掌握过去完成时。】
Step Ⅲ Tell a story
1. Look at the pictures, learn about the girl’s terrible morning.
2. Lead Ss to tell the story .
【设计意图: 以讲故事的方式让学生在具体的情景中运用过去完成时，加深理解。】
Step Ⅳ Listening-comprehension
1. Listen to the tape of plete the sentences.
2. Listen to Mary continue her story. Number the pictures [1-4] in the
correct order.
3. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets. Then
listen again and check your answers.

Step V Free talk
Work in groups to talk about some unexpected things you experienced.
Then share them with your classmates .
Eg: I had a bad day last weekend…..

Step VI Moral education ( 德育渗透)
How to avoid the unexpected things
Have a good living habit .Work and rest regularly. Don’t stay up late. Go to bed early to get enough sleep, it can make you energetic in the daytime .
