Dear Sunday Globe,
I really appreciate your article Smartphones Make Life Easier in last Sunday's newspaper. I have read it for three times. but this time I am writing to tell you something about this article. You did an excellent job to explain the good points of smartphones, but you didn't talk about their bad points at all. So, I hope that you'll let me give your readers some advice on smartphone etiquette (礼仪).
The first point I'd like to address is loudness. When you talk on your smartphone in public, please don't shout. It is impolite to shout in public place.
In fact, the microphones in smartphones are very sensitive (灵敏的) . So , you can be heard even if you speak quietly.
The second point is about personal space. I don't think it is polite to make calls in small spaces full of people. This makes other people feel uncomfortable and forces them to listen to your personal business. What's worse, it stops many face-to-face conversations from ever beginning.
Last but not least, doing two things at the same time is dangerous. For example, making calls while driving is a bad habit. It is very dangerous to do it. Pay attention to the road! Similarly, when staying with your friends such as Susan and Bruce, just turn off your smartphone and enjoy their company.
