Teaching aims and demands:
1、knowledge object:
(1) Ss can use the following words: head , ear, eye, mouth, nose, throat , neck, back, hand, arm, leg, tooth-teeth, foot-feet , matter, have a cold, stomachache, backache, headache, toothache
(2) Ss can use the following sentence patterns:
what’s the matter
I have a stomachache /a sore back./ cold.
He/She has a headache./a sore neck/fever.
2、Ability object:
enable students to talk about health problems using target language.
3、Emotion object:
let ss know keeping healthy is important.
Teaching key points:
learn how to talk about health, use have /has to talk about health problems
Teaching difficult points:
learn the English names of different parts of human body and talk about various health problems.
Teaching methods：
1. listening and speaking practice.
2 .autonomous and cooperative approach.
Teaching procedure:
step 1 warming-up
sing an English song: if you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands; if you’re happy and you know it, stomp your feet...
Purpose：Arouse students’ interest of learning today’s topic which can lead to the body names easily.
step 2 words study
1. T: Are you happy s: yes, we are. T: when we’re happy, we can clap our hands and stomp our feet. Hands and feet are parts of our body, do you know other parts of our body in English
2. teach the parts of the body by showing a picture of Zhao Benshan.. let the ss say the parts of the body.
3. play a game: touch the parts of your body
Choose some students to come to the front ,let them touch the parts of their body when the teacher says: touch your…And the last one will be the winner.
Purpose：show a picture of ZhaoBenshan, it can make students have a vivid view of body names which can come to phrases about healthy problems such as headache,stomachache/sore throat...
step 3 presentation and practice (会诊室+候诊室)
场景（1）会诊室------presentation
1. T: Are you happy ss: yes, we are.
T: when there’s something wrong with your body, and you should go to the hospital,are you still happy
Ss: no.
T: Ok. Let’s go to the hospital and see what happens there？
2. present 3 pictures, talk about health problems of the persons in the pictures :
what’s the matter I have a cold/ stomachache /a sore back.
3. let the Ss practice in pairs
4. After presenting the target languages, I summary the notes like:

Show 3 pictures in consultation room. And let the students guess what is the matter with her/him

P3: T—What’s the matter with her ？Ss—She has a sore neck.

1：Show two questions , and make students to think about the reasons why people get ill and the ways to keep healthy..Choose some students show their ideas.
Q1::Why do some people often get ill
Q2:What can we do to keep healthy？
2：Show some pictures of junk food and some pictures of healthy life.
Purpose: Students have the awareness of being healthy instead of eating junk food.
Step8 Summary
1:Disease enters by the mouth.(病从口入)
2:Exercise is the power of life. (生命在于运动)
Purpose: let Ss know keeping healthy is important in stead of junk food.
Step9 Let’s chant !
Purpose : The students chant the whole key sentences with music together which will not only make students happy in the class , but also consolidate what they have learned .
