三、Teaching procedures:
Ⅰ. Warming up
Greet students as usual.
Ⅱ. Lead-in
Teacher plays a song for students, and then asks them:
①Do you like music What’s your favorite singer How often do you listen to the music
②How many kinds of music do you know
Teacher can introduce some types of music to them.
For example: pop music, jazz music, classical music etc.
Then ask them:
What kinds of music do you like Why

1. Make a discussion about music, and then list some key words and sum up the usages of them.

2. Grammar: 定语从句(The Attributive Clause)
在复合句中修饰名词或代词的从句叫做定语从句。
1)Explain the rules of the attributive clause to students:
I like music that I can dance to.
先行词关系词定语从句
I love singers who write their own music.
2) Ask students to use it to make sentences with the information of the pictures.
Ⅳ. Listening
Listen to 1b and check the kinds of music Tony and Betty like.
(1) Present the question and help students make sure what information they have to get.
(2) Ask students to listen to the tape and finish 1b.
