一、教学内容:Using language-reading and discussing; Listening (P.23)
二、教学目标:
1.能力目标
1)学生能够在阅读过程中运用记笔记的形式理解文章,并且能够根据自己所记的笔记按照时间的顺序描述作者骑自行车旅行途中的所遇所见和所感。
2)学生能够听懂对话中女孩对湄公河作用的描述,并对老挝的风土人情等方面进行描述。
2.目标语言
1)重点词汇和短语

三、教学步骤:
步骤一 读前热身
1.课堂上教师首先让学生欣赏歌曲“青藏高原”,伴随着歌声让学生想象那里的美丽景色。
2.向学生展示几张青藏高原景色的照片,并让学生根据图片回答几个与此有关的问题。
设计意图:用与课文相关的歌曲“青藏高原”引入新课,激发学生的学习兴趣,展示照片和问一些相关问题,让学生简单了解青藏高原的一些情况,为接下来的阅读做准备。
步骤二 阅读
1.教师简述所要阅读的主要内容:就是王坤 和王薇是如何在山上过夜的。
2.教师布置学生带着问题去阅读文章,并在阅读过程中指导学生边读边根据关键词记录阅读文章的主要信息。
3.学生分成两人小组交流自己所作的记录,并且相互补充,从而完善自己的记录信息。
4.教师让学生在文章当中划出一些带有感彩的语句,通过对这些语句的分析,可以得出文章中渗透的深层含义,从而对文章的信息内容有了更加深刻的了解,并且能推断出王坤和王薇对这次自行车旅行的感受。
5.教师布置学生做课本上P.22练习一的回答问题。教师提供参考性答案。
6.教师布置学生分成两人小组对课本上P.22练习二的问题进行想象和讨论,并让小组同学到讲台上演示。教师可以给学生提供参考性答案。
7.教师让学生从课文中挑出比较难理解的句子,然后在黑板上集中处理。
8.播放录音,学生标出每个句子或者意群停顿的升调和降调,然后模仿朗读。
设计意图:在完成了步骤一的讨论之后,带着问题进行阅读,有利于学生在阅读时能够抓住要点。教师指导学生在阅读的时候对主要信息进行记录从而更好地理解课文。接下来的活动基于对文章内容理解的考查,因为本篇章中的语言知识不是很难,所以可以选择在最后来处理语言点。
步骤三 听力和对话
让学生快速阅读练习二和三,抓住主要信息,从而猜测听力的内容。
让学生听录音,完成P.23 Ex. 2-3,然后让学生同桌相互对答案,接着让学生听第二次录音,看看谁的答案准确。最后教师给出参考性答案。
接着上面的听力内容教师把学生分成两人小组继续讨论和猜测王坤和老挝女孩还会谈些什么事情,从而完善刚才的听力对话。注意使用P.23 Ex.4的句型来结束对话。同时教师也可以提供一些话题供学生们参考或者选择使用。
4.教师挑选两到三组的同学表演对话,然后给予适当点评。
5.教师组织学生讨论教材中列出的功能性句型,讨论每个句型在什么情景下使用。
设计意图:听前能抓住主要信息对听力内容进行预测是一项重要的听力技能,教师可以在平常的听力练习中教给学生如何从现有的线索出发对听力内容进行猜测。后面的对话练习实际上是前面听的内容的继续,教师可以充分发挥学生的想象,充分利用所提供的功能语言来编对话。能够很好地训练学生的口语交际能力,四人讨论两人表演的方式也锻炼了学生的合作学习能力。
步骤四 作业
熟记本单元的单词与词组,用自己的话复述王薇和王坤旅游的第1-3部分;
在网上搜集更多湄公河的信息并记录在笔记本里。
设计意图:用自己的话复述王薇和王坤旅游的第1-3部分可以让学生进一步熟练课文内容,同时也巩固了本单元所学的词汇和短语。让学生从网上搜集湄公河的信息可以让学生更好地巩固所学过的语言,另一方面也增加了对湄公河的认识,从而激发学生对祖国大好河山的热爱。

阅读课
一、教学内容:Warming up (p. 17); Reading (p. 18); Comprehending (p. 19)
二、教学目标:
1.能力目标:
在本节课结束时,学生能够
简单地描述自己的旅游计划,包括选择什么交通方式,什么时候出发或结束,以及希望获得什么样的经历。
说出一些关于地形地貌的名词,列举湄公河流经的国家名称。
归纳阅读篇章的主要内容,并描述两位主人公王坤和王薇不同的个性和态度。

三、教学步骤:
步骤一 热身
1.谈论个人旅游经历
课前让学生欣赏歌曲“ Moon river”(边播放音乐边展示歌词)。
教师提问学生是否喜欢旅游,曾经去过哪里旅游,从而引出本课的主题。
教师简单介绍自己去了哪里旅游,感觉怎样?然后提问个别学生说出他某次旅游的情况,其他学生可以提问。
设计意图:课前播放音乐可让学生在轻松的状态下进入本单元主题的学习,同时也可训练学生听歌词的能力。大部分学生都喜欢旅游,老师询问学生是否喜欢旅游,谈谈自己旅游的经历,能有效地调动学生的学习积极性。让一两个学生先介绍自己旅游的情况后让其他学生提问,能够活跃课堂气氛,也能为学生创造说英语的环境,锻炼学生的口语。
2.小组对话:旅游计划
1)教师提问个别学生喜欢用哪种方式旅游及其理由,列出常用的几种交通方式。
2)假设有四天时间让学生去旅游,两人讨论旅游计划,要求学生考虑各种交通工具的费用,并运用现在进行时表将来。讨论过程中,学生应记录旅游计划的要点,以便向全班汇报。
3)教师选择一两个小组汇报旅游计划。
步骤二 读前
1.教师展示一些河流的图片,学生猜测河流的名字,从而引出湄公河。展示沿湄公河的一些漂亮的景点,引起学生的兴趣,同时展示一些相关的生词,然后让学生观察P.18地图,说出湄公河流经的国家。
2.教师介绍随后的阅读篇章是关于一段沿着湄公河而下的旅程,让学生猜测故事的主人公在旅行途中会有什么样的见闻,提问:What words or information do you think will be included in the reading passage?
设计意图:了解湄公河及其流经的国家,为随后的阅读做好了内容和词汇上的铺垫。
步骤三 阅读
找读:学生快速浏览课文,寻找相关信息并回答问题。
2.边听录音,边仔细阅读课文,完成PPT中所列表格。
设计意图:学生第一次快速阅读,找出文章中最简单的信息,目的是教学生学会快速阅读的技巧。第二次边听边读可以纠正学生的一些读音错误,找出一些详细信息,更深地理解课文,为之后的归纳总结与复述打下基础。
学生再次阅读课文,结合注释P.80-82 No.1-9的句子翻译找出文章中难以理解的句子。
教师让学生提问,然后解释难句。
设计意图:让学生再次阅读课文,充分理解课文,结合注释进行自我学习然后提问,能够有效地培养学生自我学习的能力,培养良好的学习习惯。
学生四人小组讨论归纳总结王坤和王薇对旅游的不同态度,完成P.19 Ex. 3。
学生讲出自己的讨论结果,老师点评并小结归纳。
设计意图:让学生自己归纳总结,并以协作式活动让学生互相讨论交流,培养学生合作学习习惯,提高学生合作的能力。
步骤四 复述
1.学生根据以下关键词和短语,用自己的话复述课文。
2.教师请学生复述,第一次可以两到三人共同复述一次,每人负责一部分或几句话,第二次一个人复述整篇课文。
设计意图:用关键词提示复述课文是一个很好的帮助学生回忆课文内容的形式。老师给出范例,是为学生提供比较规范的模式,更好地让学生学习复述的技巧。教师叫学生复述时,两次提出不同的要求,难度逐渐增大,体现了教学的梯度性,可让不同层次学生都有表现的机会。
步骤五 作业
阅读课文,划出重点词汇和短语以及文章中的难句。
完成SB P20 Ex. 1-3。
用自己的话复述课文。
设计意图:学生虽然学完阅读课文,但并没完全理解部分重点词汇、短语的使用,因此布置学生自己根据自我理解而划出重点词汇和短语以及文章中的难句, 为下一节语言点的学习做了很好的铺垫。课本P.20的练习也可以帮助学生更进一步掌握本课的词汇和短语。

不定式作主语, 谓语动词用单数, 可以用形式主语it。
eg: To learn a foreign language is important for your future work.
