Section B (2a-2c)阅读课教学设计
1、教材分析:
授课内容取材于人教版GO FOR IT!七年级下Unit 6 Section B (2a-2c)部分。2a部分通过时差问题引入世界各地不同人们同一时刻进行不同活动的话题,2b语篇部分介绍了中国留学生朱辉的故事,展现了他在中国的家和国外寄宿家庭的生活场面,2c部分是语言学习任务。本课语篇创设的情景自然真实,不仅介绍了中国传统节日-----端午节,还让学生领略到中西不同文化的习俗,提升学生对中华传统文化的热爱和民族自豪感。文章在最后还点明了主人公“每逢佳节倍思亲”的心态,强化学生爱国爱家的家国情怀。
本节课是单元教学的第四课时,属于阅读课型。学生在前面三课时的学习中已经在听、说等方面对本单元的重点语法项目------现在进行时有了初步的了解和认识。本节课的主要教学任务是引导学生运用恰当的阅读技巧和方法理解文章大意和细节信息,提升阅读理解能力;同时,在教学中引导学生通过学习语篇语言材料夯实巩固现在进行时的运用;运用brainstorm和mind-map等学习策略开展思维训练和语言活动。该文本的教学重在关注学生语言实践,提升学科核心素养,教学中体现英语语言学科工具性和人文性相统一的学科特点。
二、教学目标:
1.知识目标:
①能听、说、读、写race, study, American, any ,other, young, child, miss, wish, delicious, still, the United States, any other等单词和短语;
②理解Dragon Boat Festival, host family等短语的意义;
③正确使用living, making, watching等现在分词形式。
2.能力目标:
①能够使用现在进行时谈论正在发生的事情;
②能够在文本阅读过程中运用skimming, scanning等阅读方法理解文章主旨大意、细节理解、推理判断、猜测词义;
③能够运用brainstorm和mind-map等学习策略培养思维,能借助表格复述课文内容。
3.情感态度与价值观:
①了解世界各地的时差问题,谈论世界各地不同地区的人们在同一时间进行不同的活动;
②了解有关端午节吃粽子、赛龙舟等风俗习惯,培养家国情怀,提升对中华传统文化的热爱和民族自豪感。
三、重点、难点
1.教学重点:
①使用现在进行时来谈论正在发生的事情;
②在阅读过程中从整体与细节上把握和理解文本,在阅读过程中运用skimming, scanning, mind map, brainstorm等恰当的阅读技巧和学习策略。
2.教学难点:
学生对于文本深层次内涵的感悟和感受,以及学习后深层次思考的引导。

〖设计意图〗: 听英语歌曲进行热身;通过观看视频复习现在进行时,复述一些常用动词短语为后续学习打基础;通过猜谜语的活动激发学生兴趣并引入time的话题。

3.Brainstorm:Now it’s 8:00 a.m. in Beijing. We are having a class. Can you guess what the students in America are doing right now
4.Presentation: Today we’re going to learn a story about a boy in New York. His name is Zhu Hui. He is in the United States, but he is not American. He is a student from Shenzhen. He is now studying in the United States. He is living with an American family in New York.
〖设计意图〗: 思维导图培养学生开放性思维;通过谈论时间引入time difference的概念,谈论世界各地的人们在同一时刻进行不同的活动;brainstorm通过猜测问题培养学生发散性思维;从时间的话题自然过渡到阅读文本的主题------一个在美国求学的中国学生朱辉的故事,在介绍故事的同时呈现American, host, the United States等新词汇,为后续阅读扫除障碍。
