Students are always centered ,from mastering the main idea to the details ,then to searching for the key words, teacher here is a helper. To help students develop their abilities and improve their reading skills and develop their interest in learning English .Group work
教学内容分析(analysis of teaching material)
It consists of two postcards which contains the key function structure of this unit ----greeting
talking about weather ,asking about present activities using present continuous tense. Three students Sulin, Dave and Jane often write postcards to each other ,they talk about their vacations ,the weather, the activities ,the place and their feelings there. In the meantime. when students read the postcards, they will learn the grammar naturally and practically.
学情分析(analysis of students)
This lesson is for the students in Junior One ,who are active and enjoy taking part in interesting lessons. It is also a hard problem for teachers to improve the abilities of controlling the class .As a junior middle school students ,they can’t keep their attention for long and their English level is different .So I’ll use some multimedia courses ware and some group activities to attract their attention and try to let all students take part in the teaching and learning activities.

1)能准确掌握特殊疑问How对天气的提问并能准确的回答。
2)准确使用特殊疑问词what引导的进行时的句子并做回答。
情感目标:通过学习和对比不同天气背景下人的活动,激发学生的内在情感,体会分享,进行爱的教育。

教学过程(Teaching procedures )
Step 1: warming up and lead in
Students review the word describing weather by playing a guessing game How is the weather—(teacher show some Chinese tang poems with a concerning picture, students speak out the adj. describing the weather)
Step 2 Pre-reading (Teacher show the three pictures in 2a to get students prepare for the reading passage.)
Talk about the pictures with your partner with the help of the following questions.

What are the people doing
Picture A It’s warm and sunny. She is sitting by the pool and drink orange juice.
Picture B It’s cool and cloudy. They are climbing mountain.
Picture C It’s snowing. She is writing a letter.
Step 3 while-reading.
Task1. Read the two postcards and do the following tasks .

Task 2. Scanning Read the postcards quickly and silently ,fill in the blanks according to it.
