本单元的话题是describe people’s looks.内容贴近学生的生活，极易激发学生学习英语的欲望和兴趣。该部分主要是扩展描述人的外貌的词汇，通过描述人物的外貌，了解一些人物的突出特点。教师应为学生创设更多语言运用的活动，使得学生有更多实践的机会。
三、教学重点、难点
重点：在不断的口语练习中，学会正确的描述他人外貌，并能抓住他人的突出特征来描述。难点：在听力训练中渗透给学生如何获取有效信息的技巧。
四、教学目标
1.继续学习描述人外貌的词汇:round, face, mouth, eye, singer等。2.学会从各个方面描述人的外貌特征，如:She has a round face. / He wears glasses.3.不要以貌取人Don’t judge the others by their looks.
