Step1.Leading-in
T: This class there is another teacher in our class, what should we say to him
Ss: We should say hello to Mr. Yu
T: Please say hello to him . I think I should say thank you to him because he is taking a video for me.
Write down the sentence with should on the blackboard and tell students we can also use be supposed to .
Step2.Presentation
Show pictures of different customs---kiss, bow ,shake the hands, touch the nose
Present the key sentence structure
---What are people in China supposed to do when they meet for the first time
---They are supposed to shake hands.
Step3: Listening
Before listening: guessing or predicting
Predict what is the listening about and guess the answer
While listening: match the countries with the correct customs
Listen and check the answer
Read after the tape to get the right pronunciation and intonation
After listening: role-play the listening
Step4:Pair work
Divide student into six groups and choose one as the reporter . Each group stands for a country . Do a interview like this.

Step5: Knowledge challenge
Show some questions about different customs by using some lucky eggs. Each group has chances to get some points.
Step6: Summary
We are supposed to follow the customs when we are in foreign countries as different countries have different customs. When in Rome, do as Romans do.
