Hold the furniture so that you won't move away during the earthquake.
Never do any of the following.
Stand close to the buildings. (They may fall on you.)
Stand under the trees or signs. (It's better for you to stand in the open space.)
Go too close to the power lines. (You may be badly hurt by electricity.)
4. Be prepared for aftershocks(余震)after the initial(起初的)earthquake has ended. They are smaller than the first one, but still are very dangerous.
3. If you are in a crowded place, do not run for the nearest exit. Everyone will be doing that, and it will be terrible. Take cover under something heavy and stay away from things that can fall on you. It is also very important to remain as calm as possible.
If we are outdoors,
1. stay as far away from buildings as possible
2. Stay away from glass or anything that can fall.
After the earthquake:
Check for injuries (受伤处), take care of injuries and help make sure people around you are all right.
Watch out for aftershocks (余震).
Protect yourself by wearing long pants, a long-sleeved (长袖的) shirt, strong shoes and gloves.
