Reading(1)教学设计
[教材简介]
Reading板块为阅读技能课。学生通过阅读一个名为“世界各地的学校“网友俱乐部网站上的有关英国和美国学校的文章，学习并掌握大量的词汇、短语、有用的表达法。与此同时，了解英美学校生活的不同，不同国家的文化差异。
[目标预设]
知识目标：
词汇：French, end, foreign, discuss, baseball, win, language, offer
短语：in Year 8, during the week, in class, a Reading Week, discuss sth. With sb.,
seem to, help new students learn more about school, listen carefully to my problems, offer sb. Help, do sports together, play baseball, every time, last month
句型：Boys and girls have lessons together.
Learning foreign languages is fun.
I often read more books than my classmates.
Time seems to go faster when we are reading interesting books.
On Friday afternoon, our school ends earlier than usual.
Our team won two games last month.
能力目标：
1.了解英美国家中学生的校园生活。
2. 理解作者的个人感受和观点。
3.掌握文中的语言点。
情感目标：

Step 1:Revision
Revise “Different words for the same thing”.
（T：We know Both English people and American people speak English, but sometimes there are some differences. Now let’s find friends for these words. ）
设计意图：一是复习已学知识，促进学生对所学知识的掌握；二是为讨论其他方面的差异打下伏笔。(PPT2)
Step2 Pre-reading
1. Ask some questions about school life.
（1）What do you think of your school life (What’s your school life like )
（2）Do boys and girls have lessons together in your school
（3）How many subjects do you learn What are they
（4）Is there a Buddy Club in your school What club do you have
2. Teach some new words.
设计意图：由对学生校园生活有关问题进行问答可自然过渡到本课内容的学习，同时也让学生了解中外校园生活的差异。在问答的过程中适时呈现本节课上将学到的词汇和短语。(PPT3、4)
Step 3: While-reading
一、T: What do you know about Western school lives
设计意图：让学生交流对国外校园生活所了解的信息，激起对本课学习内容的兴趣。（PPT5）
二、Life in a British school
1.Scan the first part and answer the questions:
（1） What is Nancy’s favourite subject
（2） Does she have a reading week every year
设计意图：快读找出问题答案，对英国校园生活有大体了解。（PPT6）
2.Skim the passage and find details about the Reading Week.
设计意图：带着问题在文中找到答案，培养正确的阅读习惯，也让学生对英国学校生活有进一步了解。（PPT7）
3. “T” or “F” questions
设计意图：检验学生对文章的了解情况。（PPT8）
4. Read the first part and complete the passage.
设计意图：通过填词完成课文缩写，培养学生综合运用知识的能力。（PPT9）核对答案后，学生朗读，加深印象。
三、Life in an American school
1. Scan the second part and answer the questions:
(1) When does John go to the Buddy Club
(2) Do they have the same class every day
设计意图：快读找出问题答案，对美国校园生活有大体了解。(PPT10)
2. Skim and find details about the Buddy Club.
设计意图：对体现美国校园生活的“Buddy Club”进行细节上的了解，提炼信息，完成表格。（PPT11）
3. Read the second part and complete the passage.
设计意图：灵活运用所学内容，完成对文章的缩写。期间有词形变化，对培养学生综合能力有所帮助。（PPT12）核对答案后，学生朗读，加深印象。
四、Have an interview with John/Nancy .
Each team chooses one student to act John / Nancy. Other members ask him / her any question about the school life.
设计意图：此环节的设计，不但让学生能促进对整篇文章的各个细节有较好地掌握，而且是一个很好的检查学生说的能力的机会。（PPT13）
Step 4: Post-reading
1.Free discussion：What’s your ideal school life like
设计意图：通过此话题的设计，让学生乐于开口，表达自己的想法，为接下来的书面表达打下良好基础。(PPT14)
2.Writing: My dream school life
Tips :
1. 上课迟，放学早，课外活动不能少。
2. 多实践，少考试，每周都有假两天。
3. 同学好，作业少，团结友爱一家人。
4. 学校生活多姿多彩，学生们脸上阳光灿烂
……
设计意图：虽然每个单元最后一课时会进行专门的书面表达训练，但此处可以水到渠成地让学生对理想的校园生活进行表达。所选取的书面表达内容，除了内容有趣外，采用了非常简洁的中文表达，对检验和提高学生的书面表达能力很有好处。（PPT15、16）
