A mother goat can pick out her own baby from its voice alone by the time the kid is just five days old.
Researchers from University of London played kids’ bleats to female goats and studied their responses. They were surprised to find that the animals were able to pick out their own kids’ voices.
“The mother and the kid rely a lot on smell to recognize one another and the animals hide in grass and don’t call much in the wild during the first week of their lives. It’s a strategy they use to avoid enemies,” Dr. Elodie Briefer explained to BBC News, who led the research. “The mother calls to the kids when she wants them to come and be feed, so we expected that kids would recognize the mothers’ voices.” In fact, this was the case for deer, which also use this hiding strategy, although they do not belong to the same family of species as goats.
She and her team recorded and played the young kids’ calls to the female goats and recorded their responses. She explained, “Even when the calls came from kids that are five to six days old, we could see the mothers responding more to the voices of their own babies.” Hearing the voices of their own kids, the females would look towards the speaker that the sound was coming from, moving around and calling in response.
The scientists say that understanding how goats behave and communicate is of great importance. “This helps us understand just how smart these animals are,” said Dr. Briefer. “Farmers might be able to change their way to raise goats considering this natural behavior.”

Every person has a great deal of love to give. 16 Here is a general guide to love.
Say it. When you say the words “I Love You”, make sure you really mean it and are willing to do anything for that special person.
17 If you love someone, you should understand how they feel, where they come from, and who they are. Realize how they could also love you back just as well.
Love unconditionally ( 无条件地 ). Giving unconditional love requires you to love without any expectations. 18 It seems difficult to only love and not demand anything in return in today's world where everyone is selfish, but even in this world, we see many examples of unconditional love. For example, the love a mother gives to her child and the love between a couple. To love unconditionally, you will have to learn to give up your desires and also realize that someone may have a different way of showing their love for you. 19
Realize it can be lost. If you realize that you can lose the one you love, then you have a greater appreciation of what you have. 20 However, Don't make an idol (偶像) of the person you love. This will place them under unnecessary pressure and will likely result in you losing them.
Never stop loving. Even if you have been hurt before, you should not stop giving love.
Try loving just for the sake of love.
Put yourself in someone else's shoes.
There are many ways to explain love.
Do not expect to be loved back in the same way.
Think how lucky you are to have someone to love.
There are many ways to love someone (even yourself).
It does not make you a bad person to desire someone else's love.

Thoughts Upon World Biodiversity Day
World Biodiversity Day is currently held on May 22, when a wide range of events are organized globally to increase the understanding of the important role of biodiversity in our future.
Looking at the poster, I can't help being concerned. At present, we are fortunate to still have diverse species. But it doesn't mean the future is positive. With the worsening of the environment, biodiversity is being threatened.
There's a lot we can do to help. We need to distribute information on biodiversity via schools, universities, newspapers and television. Also we can plan exhibitions for students and the general public. Other events may include competitions for children to create artwork centered on the theme of biodiversity. Let's join hands and take action!

Text 10
Hi all, I have the chance to live in a village, near big forests. In the summer, when the weather is good, it's always a pleasure to pick up mushrooms. They are tasty, and less expensive than the ones you can buy in stores. In this program, we will introduce some cautions for a nice mushroom picking session. First, you will need a basket to put the mushrooms. Don't use a plastic bag, as you will break tender mushrooms. Next, if you plan to go in an unknown place, I really advise taking a mobile phone and some water. Also, try to not be alone. You don't want to be lost alone in the woods, right Then, if you are like me a “trained” mushroom hunter, you should already know the good spots. It's always good to choose a nice forest, with a good tree cover. I don't have the magical way to find a good place , just ask local people. Once you are in the forest, the mushrooms are typically into wet and darker spots. If you are lucky, you may find nice mushrooms! When picking, make sure you know the kind of mushrooms. In my case, I only take those with a very recognizable shape. Avoid brightly colored ones. Remember, don't pull hem, but cut them with a knife. You will leave the internal roots in the floor. It will allow the mushroom to grow up again Leave those with smaller caps in place. Think about the other people, take only what you need.
