【16题详解】
空格前说“I got a taste of that dream in 2011, when my husband arranged for me to ride in a hot air balloon for my birthday.(2011年,当我的丈夫安排我在生日那天乘坐热气球时,我尝到了这个梦想的滋味)”,空格后说“Around that time, I told my husband that I wanted to skydive.(那时,我告诉丈夫我想跳伞)”,说明作者觉得坐热气球没意思,所以才想跳伞,C选项“But the experience turned out to be very dull.(但是这段经历变得非常乏味)”说明了作者觉得坐热气球没意思,和后文的想跳伞想呼应,因此C选项承上启下,符合语境,故选C。
【17题详解】
空格后说“Then in late April 2009, they announced that I was one of the winners.(然后在2009年4月底,他们宣布我是获胜者之一)”,根据第一段的“As a young girl growing up in the 1930s(作为一个成长于20世纪30年代的小女孩)”可知,2009年作者已经80多岁了,A选项“I was just 84 and in pretty good health.(我当时才84岁,身体状况很好)”中的“84”和上文的“stating George Brush Sr. did it at age 80(说老乔治·布拉什在80岁时做到了)”中的“80”相呼应,因此A选项承上启下,符合语境,故选A。

【19题详解】
空格前说“The wind was so strong that I could hardly breathe.(风太大了,我几乎不能呼吸)”,空格处应说作者在那一刻的想法,F选项“For a second I thought, “What have I gotten myself into ”(有那么一瞬间我在想,“我让自己陷入了什么境地?”)”说明那一刻作者的想法,因此F选项符合语境,故选F。

If there’s something you want to experience, make it happen.(我希望别人看着我,会意识到年龄并不是你停止活下去的原因。
