一、教学目标：

2) 能掌握以下句型：

②Why don’t they just let their kids be kids
③Although it’s normal to want successful children, it’s even more important to have happy children.
2. 情感态度价值观目标：
了解中国及一些其他国家中学生们普通存在的生活及学习上问题，了解别人的生活现状及他们苦恼，知道学习知识是很重要的事情，但它并不是生活的全部，找到合适的放松方式也重要，同时也要理解父母的辛苦付出。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点：
1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及用法。
2) 阅读短文，获得相关信息，提高学生们的综合阅读能力。
2. 教学难点
1. 重点单词和短语。
2. 阅读2b部分的短文并完成相关要求。
三、教学过程
Step 1 Warming up
1. Daily greeting.
2. Show some after-school activities for students and discuss.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Before Reading.
Happy or Not--Show a video about students taking after-school activities.
2. Reading.
Scan the passage and answer the question.
Read paragraph one and two, then fill in the blanks. Explain some language points at the same time.
Read paragraph three and fill in the details. Explain some language points at the same time.
Read the last paragraph and answer the questions.
Step 3 Post-Reading.
Activity One-- True or False.
Activity Two—Reading Stratedy Study. –Finish 2c.
Step4 Consolidation
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of after-school activities.
Then lead students to find their own ways to relax.
