一、教材分析
本课选自人教版八年级英语下册Unit 5 Section A3a—3c的内容。本单元的话题为难忘的事件,功能为能讲述过去发生的事情,能讲故事。本单元和后面一个单元的联系比较紧密,都是讲述过去发生的事情。本课时是一节读说课。整体以阅读为核心,通过让学生阅读一篇关于美国阿拉巴马州遭风暴袭击后人们互相帮助的故事。重点是在思维导图的引导下理解文章的细节,难点是理解语篇中when和while引导的时间状语从句中以及时间状语从句中过去进行时的用法。
二、教学目标:
1.知识目标:
1. 学习并掌握下列单词:
storm, wind, light, report, area, wood, window, flashlight, match, beat, against, asleep, rise, fallen, apart
2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:
with a serious storm happening outside, make sure, fall asleep, die down, in a mess, clean up
3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式:
1)Black clouds were making the sky very dark.
2)With no light outside, it felt like midnight.
3) It was hard to have fun with a serious storm happening outside.
4) Although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together.
4. 学会过去进行时态的构成和用法。
2.能力目标:通过阅读训练,学会运用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。
3.情感目标:通过本课的学习,培养学生在困难面前互帮互助的优良品质。
教学重点:正确使用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。
教学难点:正确使用过去进行时态,谈论过去的事情或讲述过去的故事。
教学方法:情景教学法;任务型教学法。
二、教学流程
I. Preparation
1.检查单词预习情况
2.复习检查 通过检查“学案”中“新知预习”内容,检查预习效果。
II. Presentation
1. Leading-in“导入新课” Ask and answer the following questions:
Can you describe what a rainstorm is like
How do you feel when the rainstorm comes
III. Practice
1. 速读 (Fast Reading)
Read quickly and find the answers to the questions in 3a
2. 精读 (Intensive Reading)
Read the passage carefully and check the things that happened in the story. (3b)
3. 朗读 (Loud Reading)
1) Read after the tape twice. 2) Read the passage by themselves, and then give some of them show time.
IV. Consolidation:
1. Retell the passage according to the questions.
(1) What was the weather like
(2) What were the people doing before the rainstorm
(3) What were the people doing after the rainstorm
2. Discuss the questions with a partner.
What things can bring people closer together
How can we help each other in times of difficulty Give an example.
3. 使用“学案”中“自主探究”部分的内容,体验语法以及语言知识点的使用方法。
V. Examination:
1. 引导学生小结梳理知识框架、规律、方法,并对合作小组当堂学习情况进行总结评价,巩固学生所获得的语言知识和经验,让学生在评价中反思,在反思中进步。
