StepⅠ Lead-in
1. Greeting.
Show a picture of Fuyang Museum, and ask students whether they have been to it
T:Do you know where it is
Ss: Fuyang Museum.
T: Have you ever been to Fuyang Museum .
S1: Yes, I have./ No, I haven’t.
2.Introduce the sentence structure :have/ has been to some places
曾经去过或到过某地(去的人已回来,对某地已经了解)
Step Ⅱ Presentation
1. Show pictures of two famous museums on the screen——the Palace Museum,Louvre Museum(卢浮宫). Ask students,“Have you ever been to... ” and invite several students to answer it.
2. Show pictures and some description to learn different kinds of museum. And ask Have you ever been to... to students to practice the target language.
It shows things like technology (科技,工艺), the environment.————science museum
It has information about the past of the country, city, or even village.————history museum
It shows animals and plants from different places.————nature museum
It shows famous and interesting paintings and sculptures(雕塑).————art museum

4. Show the picture on page 65 and let students tell what kind of museum it is.
5. Show pictures to learn the new words an amusement park and a water park.
6. Pair-work (give a sample conversation and ask students to make similar dialogues)
A : Have you ever been to a nature museum
B : Yes, I have./ No, I haven’t.
Have you ever been to a history museum
A : No, I haven’t.
B : Me neither. Let’s go to one this weekend.
Step Ⅲ Listening practice
1.Listen and tell the museums you hear in order.
2.Do activity 1b.
Let students read the instruction to know what to do. Then go through the chart.
3.Listen to the tape at least twice and check answers.
4.Fill in the blanks with the information in 1b.
1.Sarah ____________ a science museum.
2.They both have been to the art museum __________________.
3.Sarah has been to a nature museum ________________. So has Claudia.
4.Claudia and Sarah __________________ a history museum.
5.Sarah _________________ the space museum.
5. Do activity 1b. Invite two students to read the dialogue in the box. Give students enough time to do it. Then invite several pairs to show their own dialogues.
