Unit 13 We’re trying to save the earth!
教学设计Section A(1a-2c)
一、教学目标
知识目标：
1.Words and expressions;
Curriculum words: coal , waste , litter, bottom, fisherman.
Useful expressions: be full of, put…into, throw…into, clean up, play a part in, close down
2. Students can talk about noise pollution,air pollution, water pollution and how to reduce the pollution.
能力目标：According to designing some tasks, to train students’ listening ability and to train students’ communicative competence.
情感目标： Let students understand the importance of protecting the environment enhance their awareness of environmental protection.
二、教学重难点
教学重点：
Talk about noise pollution, air pollution, water pollution and how to reduce the pollution.
教学难点：
1． How to train students’ listening ability．
2． How to train students’ communicative competence．
三、教学策略
采用自主学习、小组合作探究和角色表演等学习策略，利用幻灯片、视频等多媒体手段辅助教学。
四、教学过程
Step 1：Lead-in
观看视频《被雾霾包裹的北京》,回答下列问题：
1. What is your feeling when you meet this kind of weather
2. Do you know what pollution it is
【设计意图】利用视频呈现大气污染的画面，自然引入污染话题，激发学生思维，使学生积极参与课堂活动。
Step 2: Presentation
结合图片学习污染类型，及本节课的新词汇.
【设计意图】让学生对于环境污染有一个初步的了解，熟悉话题。
Step 3：Exercise (Section A 1a)
让学生完成Section A 1a中的练习，巩固短语noise pollution, air pollution, water pollution, land pollution和相关词汇loud music, smoking, rubbish等，为听力练习做铺垫。
【设计意图】学生通过练习，巩固词汇，体现课标中感知、体验、巩固知识的原则，同时为听力练习扫清障碍。
Step 4: Quiz
引出本节课第二个学习目标Solutions for solving environmental problems.
然后谈论日常行为中如何保护环境，节约能源等。
Step 5：Listening (1b)
Activity 1让学生听录音，并完成1b中表格信息。
1. What caused the problem
2. How should the problem be solved
Activity2 让学生听录音，完成2b中的练习。
【设计意图】在听力训练中，听与说、听与写的结合，有助于落实本单元中的目标语言、单元语法，符合学生的认知，达到教学目的，增强教学的实效性.
Step 6 ：pair work
【设计意图】通过pair work 让学生内化听取的信息语言。
Step 7：Mind map and have a summary:

【设计意图】通过给学生布置思维导图任务，让学生归纳总结本节课所学的内容（污染与措施），并做适当补充，培养学生自主学习能力。
