Teaching aims:

1) Learn and master new words: sharks, fin, cruel, harmful, chain, ecosystem, industry, law;
2)Learn and master the phrases:hear of, cut off, be harmful to, at the top of, the food chain.
2 .Ability objectives:Be able to get the main idea through reading,
Be able to master some reading skills
Can express opinions about calling up others to protect the animals and the earth.
3. Moral objectives:After learning, students can develop a sense of protecting animals and the environment.

Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Revision
Sow a picture about the polluted earth and review types of pollution in last period.
(Let more students take part in this class activity)
Step2. Lead-in
T: The environment is becoming worse and worse, meanwhile, there are also animals that are in great danger.
(Let students give some examples of endangered animals.)
T: Other creatures that live in the oceans are also endangered.
设计意图:由环境污染,很自然的过渡到濒危动物,进而再到濒危海洋生物--鲨鱼。层层递进。视频加深了学生对将要学习课文的了解,同时增加学习的兴趣。
