(1)知识目标:

(2)能力目标:培养学生听﹑说﹑读﹑写的能力,尤其是阅读方面的技巧。通过运用多媒体,展示问题﹑播放阅读内容的听力﹑讲解难点等,使学生全方位提高能力。
(3)情感目标:加强学生的环保意识,使学生认识到只要有一个有创造性的头脑,没有东西是废物(Nothing is a waste if you have a creative mind.)。
教学重点和难点:
(1)教学重点:复习和学习关于循环再利用的相关词汇,如 recycle, reuse, throw away, put sth. to good use, pull down, upside down, bring back, etc.
让学生读懂用现在进行时﹑现在完成时﹑被动语态和情态动词﹑used to 写成的关于循环再利用的短文。
(2)教学难点:综合运用Fast reading和Careful reading等阅读技能读懂《Rethink, Reuse, Recycle!》这篇文章。
教学方法:问答式﹑探究式﹑任务型阅读法。
教学手段:多媒体。
教学程序设计
Step 1 Greeting and Revision(3 minutes)
1.Greet each other.
2.Use pictures to help students talk about the ways that we can do to help save the earth.
T:What can we do to help save the earth
Ss: Stop riding in cars, recycle books and paper, turn off the lights…
3.Read together.
设计意图:帮助学生巩固上节课所学的关于环保行动和循环再利用的词汇,同时为引入新课做准备。
Step 2 Leading-in (3 minutes)
1.Ask how you deal with the things that you don’t need any more.( 观看一些图片和一个利用废品打造机器人的视频。)
T:How do you deal with the things that you don’t need any more
Ss: Throw away, give it to others,…
T:So nothing is a waste if you have a creative mind.
2.Show some pictures and ask students to guess what the passage is about.
T: From the pictures, can you guess what the passage is about
Ss: Recycling.
设计意图:活跃气氛,引起学生的阅读兴趣,为学生更好地阅读这篇文章做准备。
Step 3 Reading(20minutes)
1.Explain the title of the passage and ask some questions to lead in.( Rethink, Reuse, Recycle.反思,再利用,回收利用。)(1 minutes)

(3).Do you think it is a good way to protect the environment
2.Fast reading(快速阅读6 minutes): Have students read the passage and find the main idea of each paragraph.
Para. 2 A. Bags made from clothes.
Para. 3 B. Art pieces made of iron and other materials from old cars.
Para. 4 C. House built of rubbish.
设计意图:使学生初步了解文章大意。
3.Close reading(精读9 minutes): Have students read the passage again and complete the chart in 2b.

Step 5 Explain some difficult sentences.(4 minutes)

(1)that 引导的定语从句。
(2)build / make … out of … “用…建造/制作…”
2. Not only can the art bring happiness to others, but that even cold, hard iron can be brought back to life with a little creativity. (Para.4)
艺术不但可以给人们带来快乐,而且也说明只需要一点创造力,即使是冰冷、坚硬的铁也可产生活力。
not only …but also… (不但……而且……)的中考考点:
1.连接两个并列成分。( 当连接两个并列主语时谓语动词使用就近原则)。
2. not only 位于句首时,前一分句要采用部分倒装结构(把情态动词、助动词或be提到主语前面)。
设计意图:紧扣中考考点,使学生加强难句的理解,强化记忆。
Step 6 Summary(1minutes)
From the lesson, we know nothing is a waste if you have a creative mind( 如果你有一个有创造力的头脑,没有东西是废物). Let’s take action!
设计意图:呼应导入环节,号召同学们行动起来,利用旧物进行改造,变废为宝,为环保作出贡献。
Step 7 Read the passage again. (2 minutes)
设计意图:让学生再次读短文,画出带有现在进行时﹑现在完成时﹑被动语态﹑情态动词和used to 的句子,体验他们的用法。
