1、 教材分析
这一课时是人教版新目标七年级下册第九单元Section B1a--1e.第九单元的语言目标能够询问和描述人的外貌,并且能够进行简单的问答。Section B 部分拓宽了本单元的内容。不仅让学生学会从其他角度(头发、脸型、五官、眼镜、胡子、职业等)描述人物外貌,而且还让学生明白不要以貌取人。该部分的学习有利于学生树立正确的价值观。1a----1e是Section B中的第一课时,主要有以下内容:
Task1. Play the game and lead in.
Task2. Show two pictures and teach the new words and phrases.
Task3. Play a game. Ask and answer by using What does he/she look like He/ She has …
Task4. Match the phrases with the pictures.
Task5. Guessing game. Show the description words and guess who she/he is.
Task6. Listening .
Task7.Make a survey in groups and make a report for us.
Task8.Think about a question—Do you want to make friends with him Then tell students: Don’t judge others by their looks.

二、教学目标分析
1. 知识与技能
1)掌握新单词:face, mouth, eye, nose, blonde…
2)掌握句型:What does he/she look like
He/She has…
He/She is…
3)运用以上词汇及句型描述人的外貌。
2. 过程与方法:
1) 通过转盘游戏巩固前几课时所学的内容,让学生用所学的单词、短语进行造句。
2) 以九宫格形式呈现图片和新单词,领读单词并且让学生猜他、她是谁.
3) 通过游戏环节来巩固单词及短语,运用What does he/she look like He/ She has ….练习句型。
4) Match. 将明星照和所给短语进行匹配,进一步巩固所学的新短语。
5) 给一段文字描述,让学生来猜是哪一个学生。
6) 播放听力。第一遍让学生听回答两个问题。第二遍根据听力进行填空。为后面的报告做铺垫。
7) 小组活动,谈论自己最喜欢的歌手或演员。然后各组组长作报告。
8) 展示图片,告诉学生不要以貌取人。
9) 对本节课所学内容进行总结。
3. 情感态度与价值观:通过对人的外貌进行描述,告诉学生不要以貌取人。

四、教法与学法
1.教法:本节课采用各种教学手段,通过图片展示,游戏环节及小组PK充分调动学生的积极性和主动性,师生相互配合,使学生能够会说,听懂,并且会写。
2.学法:本节课主要通过说和听来练习口语和听力,以及通过小组活动进行听说写的练习。

设计意图:通过游戏巩固前面所学的单词、短语及所学句型,并且活跃气氛,导入本节课的课题,也为后面新知识的学习奠定了一定的基础
Step 3: Show two pictures and teach the new words and phrases. Then follow the teacher to read it.
设计意图:运用九宫格图片学习新单词及短语,比较直观,学生更容易理解和接受,而且更容易激发学生的学习兴趣。
Step4: Play a game.
When you see the picture just stand up say it quickly and make a competition.
设计意图:游戏环节考察学生对新单词及短语的掌握程度,小组PK使课堂变得趣味生动。此处运用聚光灯将图画依次展现出来,使小组PK竞争更加激烈,也激发了学生的兴趣。

Match the words with the pictures and check the answers. Next tell students don’t just watch people’s looks.
设计意图:用明星和演员的图片进一步巩固新短语,同时,通过各个明星之间的对比,告诉学生不要光看人的外表。为后面的情感教育做铺垫。

设计意图:运用所学的新单词及新短语正确的描述人的外貌,同时也为后面听力减轻负担,激发学生的好奇心,且活跃课堂气氛。
Step7: Listening

设计意图:第一遍听力,回答两个问题,为第二次听力做铺垫,第二遍听力,给后面的报告降低难度。
Step8: Survey

Make a survey in groups. Then we need one reporter to make a report for us.
设计意图:通过听说练,使学生能够会听会说并且会写,准确的描述人的外貌。运用展台使学生一目了然,并且通俗易懂。
Step9:Summary
设计意图:归纳总结,本节课所学的新单词、新短语、句型及情感教育。金字塔式的设计由简到难,使不同的学生掌握不同的程度。
Step10: Thinking: Don’t judge others by their looks.
设计意图:先呈现几张图片让学生回答问题。然后引导学生说出不要以貌取人。
