一、【教材分析】
教学目标 知识目标 1. 学习并掌握下列单词:member 成员,分子;pressure 压力; compete竞争,对抗2. 能正确使用以下常用表达:play sports做运动 hang out with friends和朋友闲逛 spend time alone独处 give sb a lot of pressure给某人许多压力 have enough free time有足够的空闲时间have a fight with sb和某人打架 compete with sb和某人竞争3. 能熟练掌握并使用下列重点句式:(1) Although you may be unhappy with your parents, you should talk to them. Ask them why they give you so much pressure.(2) A: I think Wei Ming should … B: Why A: Because…(3)Ss can use the knowledge they learned to talk about the problems and difficulties they had. Ss can give others the right advice. Ss can improve their speaking and listening skills.
能力目标 通过听说训练,学会谈论问题并给出相应建议, 注意连词的使用。

Ss:Goodafternoon,teacher! 2.Free-talkingT:Before our class,I would like to show you a picture! The girl’s name is Mary.What’s wrong with Mary She looks unhappy.Ss: She’s too stressed out!T:Maybe she is a student,and she has too much homework to do everyday. Do you have the same feeling Ss:Yes!T:What should she do Can you give her some advice Let’s do some discussion! Four Ss formed a group. Ss discuss together and give Mary some advice.Ss:Why don’t you...+ 动词原形 Why not...+ 动词原形 You should + 动词原形 You could + 动词原形 (Ss can use the type of sentences to give advice,T controls the class and offers help,asks Ss to write down their ideas if necessary.)T:OK,stop,Let me know your ideas.How about your group’s idea Who would like to say Group1:Why not hang out with her friends Group2: She could play sports. Group3: She could play computer games. Group4: She should listen to music and read some books.......T:You all did a good job!. 师生互相问候,老师点出本节课要学习的主要内容。师生自由讨论作为热身活动,借助多媒体课件的展示,突出师生互动,以学生为主体,教师进行引导,对已学知识进行复习巩固,既调动了学生接下来学习的热情,又强化了已学知识。复习提建议的句型:Why don’t you...+ 动词原形 Why not...+ 动词原形 You should + 动词原形 You could + 动词原形以小组合作的形式开展讨论,既丰富了课堂,又培养了学生的团结合作意识。活动结束,教师给予肯定、科学的评价。
II. Presentation呈现 1. Leading-inT:We discussed so much advice and ways to lower our stress just now.And our textbook also shares us with many different kinds of ways to lower stress.(1)What activities do you like to help lower your stress Order them from 1-8 with being the most favorite thing you do to lower stress. T asks Ss to read the sentences in 1a. Explain some main sentences. ① hang out with friends② talk to parents or other family members③ spend time alone④ watch movies⑤ read books⑥ play sports⑦ play computer games⑧ only watch TV shows and do nothing else to waste half dayT:Can you think out other ways T asks some Ss to express their ideas.S S1:Listen to music. S2:Drink tea. ...... T:Thanks for sharing me with your good ideas! Now I would like to share my ways of lowering my stress with you. I li like to listen to music.That makes me happy.I would like to use the Internet. Finally,I could watch basketball games.That makes me exciting. 学生各小组的讨论引出了更多的减压方式,在课本1a中进行总结和延伸,培养学生的思维能力。丰富多彩的减压方式,学生进行自由补充和扩展,也能够活跃课堂气氛。师生互相分享,互相交流想法,能够拉近跟学生的距离,吸引学生的学习注意力。

IV.Consolidation巩固 Listening practice:1.1cT:Next,I would like to introduce Wei Ming to all of you. He is also a student.He has some problems recently.Let’s listen to 1c and check the problems Wei Ming talks about. (1)Ss read the sentences together. Ss listen for the first time and check the problems Wei Ming talks about. (4)T checks the answers. 2. 1dListen again. V. Exercise练习 (1)Ss discuss the problems together,give advice for Peter and Mandy. (2) T checks the answers. Peter:My best friend does not trust me anymore. Mandy:My brother watches TV while I'm trying to study. 延伸练习,继续巩固了如何解决问题,提供有效建议的语言目标,突出本节课的重点。
Ⅵ.Summary T makes a summary about the lesson.Ss watch a video 利用多媒体资源播放有关于减压的小视频,使学生学有所得。丰富有趣的图片视频能够让学生在充实的学习任务完成后得到放松。
