一.Teaching aims:
Knowledge aims :1) Study some new words and phrases junior, junior high school, clear, clear out , bedroom, no longer, own, railway, part, part with, certain, as for, honest, to be honest, truthful
2) The students can master the Present Perfect Tense
Ability aims: 1) The students can understand the whole passage.
2)They can use what they leant to describe his or her favorite thing.
3)Train the students’ speaking and reading abilities.
Moral aims: Educate the students not to waste anything. They should try their best to help the people in need.

五.Teaching strategy :
Ask the students to finish the tasks by themselves or in groups, train them to use their heads as much as possible. Encourage them to express their feeling bravely.
六.Teaching steps.
Step 1. Warming up .
Ask a student to have a yard sale, other students come and buy something
(Purpose of my design: Through this activities, review what they learnt in last class, and arouse the students interests.)
Step 2. Discuss.
Ask the students to discuss these questions:
1.Do you have a favorite thing from childhood What is it
2. How long have you had it
3.What will you do with it if you don’t need it anymore
(Purpose of my design: Present the new lesson.)
Step 3. Read quickly and fill in the form.
1) Read the passage quickly , and fill in the form.

Step 4. Read and answer
1) Read the passage again and answer the questions :
1.Why did they decide to have a yard sale
2. What do they want to do with the money from the sale
3. Why does the son want to keep his train and railway set
4. How can the old toys be useful again
5. Have you ever thought about having a yard sale to sell your things What would you do with the money you raise
2) Get the students to find out the answers from the passage. (The answers of questions 4 and 5 are vary)

2) no longer的意思是“不再;不复”,放在系动词,助动词,情态动词后,实意动词前=not … any longer=not …anymore替换,not构成否定句,any longer 放在句尾。
