教学目标:

训练学生的听说技能,通过听力训练和口语训练加深对目标语言的认识。

通过学习各国的见面礼仪,培养学生的跨文化意识, 学会理解和尊重他人文化。
教学重点、难点:
1.掌握单词:custom, bow, kiss
be supposed to do sth. 的表达。
2.掌握短语:be supposed to do sth. ,for the first time, be expected to 。
4. 训练学生的听、说能力,通过听力训练和口语训练加深对目标语言的认识。
5. 通过学习各国的见面礼仪,培养学生的跨文化意识,学会理解和尊重他人文化。
教学方法:
任务型教学法、多媒体辅助教学、体验式教学法
教学过程:
Step 1. Lead in.
Show a map of the world.
Teacher: As we all know, the winter vacation is coming. I want to travel around the world.
What about you Where will you go for vacation
S 1 : I will go to Brazil for vacation.
S 2 : I will go to the United States for vacation.
S3 : I will go to Japan for vacation.
S4 : I will go to Mexico for vacation.
S5 : I will go to Korea for vacation.
Teacher: Wow, sounds great! But do you know what people in those countries are supposed to do when they meet for the first time

Teacher: Well, today we are going to learn U10 You’re supposed to shake hands. It will tell us.
展示世界地图,引出国家Brazil,the United States, Japan, Mexico, Korea 和目标语言be supposed to do
Step 2. Presentation.
1.New words:
Teacher:
Do you remember some greeting customs
Show pictures of shake hands/ kiss / bow in 1a.
Read the words above in different ways.
展示1a的小图片,学习新单词。由懂读单词的学生起来教其他学生,充分发挥学生的主观能动性,通过不同方式读单词,熟悉单词和目标语言be supposed to do ,为下面的活动做铺垫。
2. Challenge.
Can you challenge your reactions
Can you act it out according to the sentence you hear
Examples: You’re supposed to shake hands/bow/kiss.
通过测反应能力,进一步掌握单词和句型,培养学生的合作能力。

Teacher: Do you know what people are supposed to do when they meet for the first time in the countries in 1a
Read the countries and customs and then finish 1a.
根据学生所了解的文化知识,猜各国的见面礼仪。
2. 1b
Listen to the audio and check the answers in 1a.
3. Listening material.
Read the listening material after the audio.
模仿听力对话,熟悉句型和各国见面礼仪。
Step 3 Consolidation and extension.
1. Pairwork.
Read 1c together.
Make conversations like 1c and then show them.

B: They are supposed to ... What about in ...
A: In ..., they’re expected to...
通过上面的听力和操练来熟悉句型和各国见面礼仪,并表演对话,培养学生的合作能力,让学生正确地输出目标语言。
2. Extension.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Add some greeting customs: hug each other, kiss on the hand, touch nose, cross hands...
拓展知识,情感教育,培养学生的跨文化意识,学会理解和尊重他国文化。

其人称和数的变 化在be动词上体现。否定式 be not supposed to do sth
