一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
1) 能掌握以下单词:along,go along,turn right /left,crossing.
2) 能掌握以下句型:
① Just go along Bridge Street and turn left when you see the library .
② Go along Long Street and it’s on the right.
③ Turn right at the first crossing and the restaurant is on your left,across from the pay phone.
3)能正确地运用所学句型为他人指路。
4)继续锻炼学生的方位识别能力与逻辑表述能力。
2. 情感态度价值观目标:
① 通过运用简单的问路和引路的交际用语,学会相互合作,培养乐于助人的精神。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:1) Words and expressions:go along ,turn left/right,on the/your/left/right,at the fist crossing等。
2) Important sentences in 1c.
2. 教学难点:表示方位介词的理解与正确运用及指路的表达方式。
3.教学方法:任务型教学法,情景交际法及图片直观教学法。
三、教学过程
Step 1. Warming- up
1)播放“兔子舞”英文儿歌。 〖设计意图:吸引学生注意力和兴趣点〗
2)Presentation
Show students some street signs, explain what the street signs mean on the board.(Give drivers information, instructions or warnings.(可适当增加其它交通标志,No parking.禁止停车No turning around.严禁掉头)〖设计意图:通过交通图片的展示,感知相关短语的功能,为下一步谈论建筑物位置做好知识和思维准备〗
3)1a. Match the words in the box with the signs.
Step 2.Practice
要去学生观察图片,引导学生用自己的话描述从说话者所在位置如何走到目的地。为下一步听力做好准备。〖设计意图:为下面的听力要去做好了准备〗
Step 3. Listening
Look at the map .
1. 1b.Look at the picture, find out where the speakers are, then talk about how to get to A\B .
Listen and write the correct place for each letter in the picture.
2.1c. Listen again. Fill in the blanks. Check the answers. Learn the language points.〖由于听前活动为听力练习做了充分的准备,学生能比较轻松地完成听力练习。引导学生用英语对话交流,词不离句,句不离境 ,培养学生良好的用英语交流的习惯。〗
Step 4. Groupwork
Look at the picture of 1b.
1. Divide the Ss into groups. Each group has two students.
2.1d Imagine you and your partner are the two people in the picture in 1b. Ask and answer questions about the places.
A:Excuse me .Is there a...around here
B:Yes ,there is.Just go along...Street and...
A:Thank you very much.
B:You are welcome.
Step 5.Reporting Watch the pictures and learn more about asking for and giving directions on the street.( 真实情境中运用所学的问路指路的表达)〖通过合作交流的方式复习目标语言,运用评价机制积极引导,学生参与度高,学习效果好,即达到学以致用的目的,还可以培养他们学习英语的信心,激发学习的欲望。〗
