教学重点: 学生能够听、说、读、写并熟练运用五个描述人物性格及外貌特征的单词“old, young, funny, kind, strict”。
教学难点: 学生能够在语境中熟练运用所学核心词汇及句型。
教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up & Revision & Lead-in 1. Greetings. 2. Enjoy the song—My new teacher 3. Play a game: I say, you do. T:We have new teachers,classmates and books in the new term. Now,prepare your books.Let’s play a game.I say, you do. Step 2: Presentation Learn the new word young. T:I’m a funny teacher. Look, Zhang Peng and Oliver are talking about their teachers. Please listen. Introduce the new word young. T:Pay attention to the first letter”y”.It pronounces /j/ /j/.For example,yes,yellow,yummy. Learn the new word old. T:Look, who is the music teacher Mr Young.Is he young No, he isn’t. He’s old.Your turn. 学生跟读单词发音。教师出示课件,练习新词汇,学生体会old和young这一对反义词。 Learn the new word funny. T:Look, who is the science teacher Miss Green. Look at her eyes, She’s funny. Please repeat. 引导学生观察图片,体会funny含义并听音频跟读。 Learn the new word strict. T:I’m funny. But sometimes I’m strict.Your turn. 学生跟读发音。教师进行自然拼读讲解。并引导学生表演strict。进一步体会严格的含义。 Learn the new word kind. T:Who’s the English teacher Miss White. She’s kind.Please follow. 学生跟读kind。 Step 3: Practice Play a game: Sharp eyes. Do some exercises. T: Let’s talk more about our friends. 教师出示小丑,白雪公主,小女孩图片,在情景中练习新授词汇。 Step 4: Consolidation & Extension 1. Ask and answer. Show the picture of Mrs Smith and some sentences. (出示课件) T:Look at picture, who is Mrs Smith T:Is she strict Is she tall 引导学生观察并描述人物外貌及性格特征 2.Read in role. T: Boys, you are Oliver. Girls, you are Sarah. Let’s read in role. 3.Pair work T:Let’s talk more about our teachers. Who’s your PE teacher Mr Li. Is he tall Is he strict 引导学生描述人物外貌并进行两人合作对话。 Step 5: Summary T:Today we have learned some new words to describe people’s personality, old, young, funny, kind,strict. And some sentence patterns. Who’s your … teacher Mr/Miss ... Is she/he … Yes, he is. Step 6: Homework 1 .Listen to the tape for three times. 2.Draw your teacher and describe your teacher.
