教学目标:
1. 掌握词汇：lower, smarter, become , shadow, down。
2. 掌握句型: It is getting lower and lower, but his shadow is getting longer and longer. Why is my shadow longer when the sun gets lower
3. 能在情景中比较人、动物的外貌特征。
4. 了解太阳的位置和影子的关系。

教学过程:
一 复习与热身
1.首先男生说第一组单词的原级，女生说相应的比较级；之后女生说第二组单词的原级，男生说相应的比较级。
（1）younger （2）thinner

设计意图：复习比较级。
2.根据图片，小组练习对话。
Boy：How tall are you
Girl：I’m 1.42 meters tall.
Girl：How heavy are you
Boy：I’m 31 kilograms.

看一看，勾一勾，完成此部分的任务。

三 新课呈现
1.学习 Read and write
（1）阅读前：①想一想，说一说。教师请学生回忆春天的到来会带来什么变化，说出来与其他同学分享，如：It’s getting warmer. The day is getting longer and the night is getting shorter.
②教师介绍文段的背景：Spring is so beautiful. Wu Yifan and his family are going on a trip to the countryside. Wu Yifan has a story to tell Robin.
（2）阅读中：①第一次阅读：教师要求学生快速阅读文段后回答问题：
—Who is in this story —Little Duck and Old Tree.
②第二次阅读：教师要求学生细读后完成Read and circle.及写出文段标题的活动。在此过程中，教师请学生标出lower and lower, shadow, grow等生词难句，鼓励学生根据上下文猜测其含义。教师还可提出更多问题请学生思考，检测学生对文本细节的理解，问题如下：What is Little Duck doing When does the story happen
③第三次阅读：教师展示Read and write 版块的文字内容，播放录音，请学生跟读，模仿正确的停顿和语音、语调。
教师引导学生完成填充对话的活动，并请学生分角色朗读对话。
根据故事内容，完成下列对话。
Little Duck：Old Tree，the sun gets lower ，but my shadow gets longer . Why
Old Tree：That’s easy. Your shadow gets longer because you are getting older and growing taller every day.
Little Duck：So what will happen to me
Old Tree：Well，...
（3）阅读后：①教师请学生思考并回答问题：Do you agree with Old Tree Why
②小组讨论：Can you answer Little Duck’s question What’s your answer
③学生圈出文段中所有含有-er 的单词，猜测它们是什么意思，然后恰当运用形容词的比较级描述同学或朋友的变化。
（4）语法讲解：①lower—low
短语：lower and lower越来越低 例句：The sun gets lower and lower when it goes down.
英语中“比较级+and+比较级”表示“越来越……”。
stronger and stronger 越来越强壮 thinner and thinner越来越瘦
fewer and fewer越来越少 higher and higher越来越高
②become开始变得；变成
例句：The girl becomes beautiful.这个女孩变得漂亮了。
现在分词：becoming
2.完成 Let’s check
（1）听一听，勾一勾。
①教师出示此部分图片，让学生逐一看图并简单谈论图片。
T：What are the pictures about Whats the difference between the two pictures
学生熟悉图片内容后，教师播放录音，勾出所听到的图片。
②教师选几名同学依次说出选出的答案，其他同学校对。有疑惑的地方教师答疑解惑。
（2）再次听录音。
①让学生写出问题的答案。
②核对答案，让学生注意正确拼写单词。
四 巩固与应用

五 当堂检测
根据汉语提示补全句子。
