I. Analysis of the teaching material
This unit is about feelings. In this period, students will read a passage about feelings, and improve their ability to express their feeling. At the same time, students are expected to improve their language competence, especially communicative and comparative competence by doing a survey. The Ss have learned English for six years. They are curious, active, and energetic, They fond of various activities. They enjoy learning through cooperation in a relaxing atmosphere.

Step 1 Warming-up and leading in (3minutes)
1.Enjoy a video The teacher prepares a video for the class and Ss enjoy the sad movie Titanic.
2.Free talk. Ask: How does this movie make you feel
Sad
Purpose: Lead in the topic and arouse the interest of the students.
Step 2Review (5minutes)
There are 3 tasks for the Ss.
Task 1: Brainstorm Make a list of words about feelings
2.Tell your feelings about the pictures given.
T shows a picture asks: How does this picture make you feel
Purpose: through brainstorming , to arouse Ss review the words which can feel their feelings, and use the words and phrases which they may come across while reading the following passage.
Step 3Grammar Focus)(8minutes)
There are 2 tasks for the Ss.
1. Read the passage and finish the blanks.
2.Watch a video and summary the grammar.
Purpose: the two tasks are aimed to let the students learn to use causative verb make
3. Practice
Look at the picture and say sentences with “make”
Purpose: Talk about the picture to obtain relevant information and improve the students' ability to use the causative verb make
Step 4 Passage and a survey(20minutes)
There are 2 tasks for the Ss.
1. Ask Ss: to read the passage and finish the blanks with the words that can express their feelings.

Purpose: Through group work, cultivate the spirit of cooperation, and train the ability of solving problem by themselves. In class, the teacher is just a guide, while the Ss are the center, where the teacher just joins them, giving suggestions, and offering help when they need. Meanwhile, ask the Ss to finish the survey. It is an output, and it can evaluate how well the Ss learned in this lesson.

After-class reflection
In this lesson, I spent most of the time coaching the kids to do different tasks by practicing using the word ‘make’, which I think it is really important. The 2011 curriculum standard of English has some suggestions for English teachers, one of which is to help develop students independent learning ability by coaching them to use learning strategies in their studies. In this lesson, I coach them to finish the task by summarying ,practicing, wrting,doing a survey. In this lesson I could concern more about students’ long term development in learning. Encourage them to discuss the problem with a group in order to improve their cooperation, I showed the students learning objectives at the beginning of the class so that the kids can know what they are supposed to concentrate on, I pay attention to the ability to express their real feelings by using the words they have learned. And lead them to solve the problem in positive way.
