Brainstorming What do you think a good friend should be like Practice I think that a good friend should be… Step 2 Listening 1. Read through the sentences in A1 and then get Ss to listen and choose the correct answer. Check the answers with the class. 2. Read the sentences in A2 with the class. Listen and number the sentences in the order you hear. Call back answers from the class. Listen again and write down the number of the Friendship Online. Explain: Who’s calling= Who’s that (speaking) This is …(speaking). Step 3 Listening and reading Listen and number the sentences: How does the host (主持人) ask about Lingling's problem a. Practice I think that a good friend should be… Step 2 Listening and imitating Listen and imitate the pronunciation. Pay attention to the words the speaker stresses. (Act 5) A5: Listen and underline the stressed words. 2. Then listen and repeat. 3. Listen and imitate reading the conversation. 4. Role read the conversation in pairs and try to understand the everyday English. Step 3 Language points 1.We got separated when we went to different schools last term, but we stayed in touch.
