（二）process and method：
通过阅读训练，培养学生的良好的阅读理解能力，同时使学生在理解书信故事情节的基础上对文章进行进一步的解读，以实现对学生进行有利的情感教育的目的。

四、Teaching process
Step 1:
齐读目标，检查预习情况。通过检查上节课布置的作业落实作业完成情况，进而为新课的导入铺路搭桥。
Step 2:lead-in
1) Make conversations to talk about problems and give advice.
—What’s wrong with you
—I had a fight with my best friend. What should I do
—Well you should call him so that you can say you’re sorry.
2）write problems and advice on the blackboard.
Some Ss give some problems. Others Ss give advice.
Step 3:Reading
Before reading:
watch a short play carefully and find the answers to the questions:
(1) Who wrote the letter (2)Who gave advice？
Step 4 while reading:
（一）Read and find the answers to the questions:
(1) What’s the writer’s problem (2) What’s the advice that Mr Hunt gave
方法指导：带着问题，然后快速阅读短文，争取在较短的时间内，找到答案。
处理方法：先在小组内讨论，然后去拼某个单词来决定哪一组去回答。

Agree:
Lack of communication is the cause of many problems. In this case, the family may truly not be aware of how the writer feels as they are too absorbed in their own problems. The parents may also be touched if the writer tries to help them by doing jobs around the house. In addition, it is not healthy for the writer to keep his negative feelings to himself. Talking is likely to help him feel better.
Disagree:
The parents and elder brother may get even angrier as they may think that the writer is being disrespectful. They may feel that children should not comment on the behavior of their senior.
Step 7:work on 3c
Which words or phrases in the letters have the same or similar meanings as the following Write a sentence using each word or phrase.

The more you communicate with each other, the better you will know each other.
