一、教学目标：
1. 语言知识目标：
1)能够听、说、读、写单词、短语：turn…into, hide, tail, magic, stick, excite, Western.
2)能够掌握句型：This story is not new to Chinese children./ Sometimes
he can make the stick so small that he can keep it in his ears.
3)能够读懂Section A3a的短文，并完成与之有关的练习题。

三、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
(1)Tell a story.Four students a group tell the story 《 An old man tried to moved the mountains》.Each student says a sentence.

Look at the picture and guess what the passage talks about. They can discuss with their partners.
