Step 1 Warming up
Look at the screen and listen to a song . Guess the name of the song.

Ask the students to review the last lesson . There are three questions on it .
Question1: What's the highest mountain in the world
Question2:What's the longest river in the word
Question3:Look at phrases ,write down their Chinese meanings
as big as feel free to do sth man-made objects in size
as far as I know one of the oldest countries

Step 3 pre-task
Students read new words in class and teacher check out and correct them. And they prepare the article before class then answer“pre-reading” ---What do you know about Qomolangma

Step 4 While -task
Translate into English

II.Pay more attention to 3a ,3b ,3c. Firstly,skim the passage to find out main idea each paragraph and answer the 3a .Then read carefully to find details of the passage to finish 3b and 3c.

III.Ask one or two students to summary his phrases ,sentences and language points in the passage.Then teacher make the complement
