教学过程
Step 1 Greetings
Greet the class as usual.
Step 2 Revision
Show some pictures and ask the students: What’s the best movie theater Why do you think so Get some students to answer the questions.
Step 3 Role-play
Ask the students to read the conversations and answer the two questions: 1. What is the newest cinema 2. How does Helen like it Explain some new words and main points in the conversation. Read the conversation after the teacher. Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation.
Step 4 Presentation
Ask: In our class, who is the funniest / the most serious / the tallest student In all the subjects, which is the most interesting / the most difficult subject Get the students to ask and answer in pairs. Show the questions on the screen: Which is the worst clothes store Which is the best clothes store Which radio station plays the most boring songs Which radio station plays the best songs Which cinema has the most comfortable seats ... And then get the students to practice in pairs.
Step 5 Grammar Focus
The students read the sentences in Grammar Focus and fill in the blanks.

Step 6 Group work
The students work in groups to talk about the grammar and then try to come to conclusion.
用最高级来描述人物或事物的句型小结：
1. A + be + the 形容词最高级 + 表示范围的介词词组.
2. A + 动词+ (the) 副词最高级 + 表示范围的介词词组.
Step 7 Practice
3a, Ask students to read the sentences in 3a and try to fill in the blanks with correct forms of the words in brackets. First do the first one for the students and get them to talk about how to solve the problem. Then ask the students to do them by themselves. Finally check the answers together.
3b, Group work. Get the students to talk about three stores that sell similar things in the town and fill in the chart. Then write six sentences using the information in the chart. Check the sentences in groups. Finally ask some students to report their sentences.
Step 8 Group work
Go through 3c together and make sure the student understand what to do. Then work in groups and talk about the restaurants for lunch near their home. Fill in the chart. Then talk in groups and choose the best one. Finally ask some groups to report their results.
