教学过程
Step 1 Leading in
Ask the student who is on duty to say something to the class.
Step 2 Pre-task
Work on 1a &1b
1. Show the days of the week in a large monthly calendar.
2. Point out the days of the week at the top of the calendar and ask a student to read these words aloud.
3. Ask a student to point out today’s date, tomorrow’s date, the day after tomorrow’s date and the day before yesterday’s date.
4. Complete Activity 1a, the check the answers.
5. Ask students to write the words today, tomorrow, yesterday and the day after tomorrow in the correct space on the calendars in their books.
Step 3 While-task
Work on 1c
1. Call attention to the example in the box. Ask two students to read it to the class.
2. Ask students to work in pairs.
Ask: What do you want to do on Monday, Tuesday…
Write down your answers.
3. Make some conversations with your partner.
4. Ask some students to present their conversations.
Work on 1d&1e
1. Point to the picture.
2. Listen to the conversation .Can Vince play tennis with Andy Circle “yes” or “no”.
4. Play the recording. Ask, What can Vince do today Pay attention to the list of five activities , and the three lettered words.
5. Point out the sample answer, say ,Number1 is b, that means Vince is playing soccer tomorrow.
6. Play the recording.
7. Check the answers.
Step 4 Post-task
Work on 1f
1. Help students find partners. Say, One student is Andy , the other is Vince.
2. Ask the pairs to practice for a few minutes like the sample.
3. Ask students to present their conversations.
Homework
1. Make a calendar next week.
3. Do the exercise on Page 62 in Students’ book.
