一、教材分析：
本单元围绕"The unexpected things"这个话题展开教学活动，告诉学生"Life is not always perfect"。让学生了解生活中发生的事情不是总能预测的，无论发生的是好的或是坏的，最终使学生明白一点，生活不总是完美的。遇到困难时刻，我们要保持冷静，想出最好的办法解决它。本课重点学习一些重要的单词，短语及句型，本课话题能激起学生的好奇心，调动学生学习英语的积极性。
二、教学目标：
1. 语言知识目标：
1) 能掌握以下单词：fool, costume, embarrassed, costume party
2) 能掌握以下重难点句子：
What happened to Dave on April Fool’s Day
3) 提高学生的听力技能。培养学生从所听到的对话中获取信息的能力。
2.过程与方法目标：
本课主要采用任务型教学法，情景教学法以及多媒体辅助教学，充分发挥老师的主导作用和学生的主体地位，利用现代化教学技术，优化教学过程。通过课件为学生创设更多生动活泼的语言环境，把学生吸引到活动中去，并激发他们主动参与学习的欲望，努力培养学生自主学习的能力。
