The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. They start from the Beginning of Spring and end with the Greater Cold, moving in cycles. They are still useful today for guiding people's lives through special foods, cultural ceremonies and even healthy living tips.
Grain Buds(小满), the 8th solar term of a year, began on May 21 this year, and ended on June 4. It means that the seeds are becoming full. During the Grain Buds, summer harvest is about to begin. A saying about rain during this time mentions, "A heavy rainfall makes the river full." Because of the great increase in rainfall, rivers are full of water. This is a good time to enjoy fish. It is also the harvest season for fishermen.
Frost's Descent (霜降), the 18th solar term in the year, is the last solar term in autumn, during which time the weather becomes much colder than before and frost begins to appear. The apple is one kind of recommended(推荐的) fruit during Frost's Descent. There are many sayings about apples' benefits(益处) in China, such as "Eat an apple after meals, even old men can be as strong as young men."
Lesser Cold (小寒) is the 23rd one. For most areas of China, it marks the start of the coldest days of the year and people always start preparing for New Year. Few words are spoken more often every day on the streets of Britain than "I'm sorry". This phrase has become such a common response (反应) that it has taken on a lot of meanings.
Saying "sorry" means to apologize(道歉). This is simple and easy to understand. We learn it both as a native speaker and as a student who learns foreign languages.
In Britain, it takes on another meaning. It is a cultural expression. Imagine this: a man walks down the street, looking down at his phone. A woman is walking in the opposite direction towards the man. She sees him, but she can't get out of the way in time. The man bumps (撞上) into the woman. Who should say sorry Naturally, the man should say sorry, because it was he who wasn't looking where he was going. Yet in Britain, it is common for both to apologize.
It is known that British people, like most people, do not enjoy conflict (冲突). So to quickly calm the situation, British people will apologize to each other.
Other times it may sound funny to hear "sorry". Some of my friends say it at restaurants, as they ask the waiter, "Sorry, but can I order another drink " It is not to apologize, but just to express that we need the waiter. In Britain, sorry doesn't always mean exactly what you think.

Have you ever heard the phrase "You never get a second chance to make a first impression" It may sound like an unusual piece of advice, but it is true — the first impression someone has of you when meeting you for the first time will probably influence how that person treats you or reacts to you in the future.
What is even more interesting is that the brain takes in all the information to create the first impression in about three seconds. When you meet someone for the first time,by the time you have stated your name or shaken hands, the other person has already formed an opinion about the kind of person you are.
So how can you make a good first impression All things grown-ups tell you — such as being polite, and being well-dressed — are very important. However, the most important tool for making a good first impression is your face.Smiling, being responsive, and looking like you are happy will always leave a positive impression on people, especially those who do not know you. Most people, generally speaking, are ready to smile back when they are smiled at.
Furthermore, smiling and being in a positive mood help you to know and get a better understanding of new things. This means that you can possibly be friendlier to people you do not know and be more creative and able to solve problems more quickly. So if you ever need a reason to be happy, think about the wonderful people you might meet and impress — with a cheerful smile.

As we all know, traditional Chinese culture has different forms and many of them have a history of thousands of years. Not only Chinese but also foreigners find the culture is attractive.
When I was a child, I usually went back to my hometown with my parents for the Spring Festival. My grandma would always make some paper cuttings and put them on the windows. They were so lively and real that I decided to learn from her. After several years' study, I could cut some patterns and I would do it with my grandma before the festival.
In my opinion, teenagers should spend more time learning about traditional Chinese culture.
