Sea Cucumber
Sea cucumbers are strange animals living at the bottom of the sea. They wear brown or pale green coats with many sticks up. When summer comes, they stay deep to sleep because they are afraid of the heat. And when it is autumn, they move to shallow(浅的) water and get their food.
Pike
The pike is a kind of freshwater fish. They are good swimmers and like swimming near boats, waiting to be fed. They have sharp teeth to catch fish. When they are young, they live in groups. However, when they grow up, they prefer to live alone.
Cuttlefish
A cuttlefish can swim quite fast, so it is also called rocket

Octopus

Send a letter to your local environment protecting centre and show how you feel about the quick extinction of animals. Use the facts to write what you have found. Give some advice to the officers who make the strong rules(规则) to save animals.
Draw pictures and make a poster. Put this poster somewhere at school or where people will usually see it. Add some texts in the sign to make it clear why you care about the loss(丧失) of animals. It may encourage people to do something to protect animals.
Avoid buying things that come from endangered species(物种). When you travel, be careful about what you buy. You shouldn’t buy things made from endangered animals or endangered tree species from forests that animals live on.
Watch your diet(饮食). Before eating meals, you should see if you will break a food chain. If you see somebody doing something bad for the food chain, please stop him at once.
