教材分析 本课内容为八年级上册的第十二个模块的第三单元。这一模块的语法知识主要是祈使句的用法和情态动词can, could, must表示猜测的用法。结合本模块所学语言知识培养学生的综合能力。
课时教学目标 1. Language knowledge语言知识目标:To summarize and consolidate the use of modal verbs — must, can, could (for prediction).2. Language skills语言技能目标:1) To make Ss learn about the accidents and how to deal with the harmful accidents to save their lives.2) To write instructions on self-protection in disasters or accidents.3. Learning strategies学习策略:1) To know about the language points by observing and the key structures.2) To learn from each other during the co-operation.4. Culture awareness文化意识: To know how to give first aid.5. Emotional attitude情感态度: 1) To know how to give first aid. 2) To help others in an emergency. 3) To work with others.
教学重点与难点 重点:1. To master the words, the imperative sentence. 2. To use can / could / must to tell the possibility. 难点:The using of can / could / must.

Step 1 Warming up & grammar Task 1: Warming up
Let the students read sentences. Read the sentences and pay attention to the words in red. 让学生通过读句子快速进入课堂状态,并先整体感受学习内容。
Task 2: Grammar
1. Ask students to observe the sentences and find out the rules.2. Explain the using of imperative sentences in detail and give some example.3. Explain the using of modal verbs — can, could, must (for prediction). 1. Find out the rules of the sentences.2. Step 2 Listening Task: Listen and complete the sentences.

Get students read the passage and choose the correct answer on P102-7. 11. Call back for answers. 1. Students read out the key word or key sentences, and then speak out their answers. 帮助学生复习单词,并通过练习帮助他们深入理解并应用。学生们用角色扮演的方式朗读文章的同时给出答案,可以帮助学生培养语感。通过语篇填写培养学生的综合运用能力,同时为中考类似题型做铺垫。训练学生寻找细节的能力,为中考细节阅读题做铺垫。学生在阅读的同时将题目的关键词句划出来,方便选择最佳答案。这样的做题方式可以为中考题做铺垫。
