A new technology may change the way people watch movies at the theater. Instead of watching a film on the screen, you will enter the scene and watch the action take place all around you. This is what Virtual Reality, or VR, and 360 degree video promise to give audience.
The film called Career Opportunities in Organized Crime (COOR) is the first full length film made in 360 degree Virtual Reality. Online websites like YouTube and Vimeo have already offered some VR films.

As music played around people, images appeared to jump out of the screen. But this high technology comes at a high cost. A company spokesman said the video and sound system costs $500,000. That is more than average movie theaters will pay. Theater owners won't spend so much money on devices (设备) that may be popular for only a short time.
