Step 1 Warming up
1. Divide the whole class into two teams. Girls are Team A and boys are Team B. There is a competition between the two teams. Try your best to be the winning team.
2. Show the main tasks in this class and let students read them together. Then ask them to translate each of them.
Step 2 Pre-reading
Prediction: What did the passage mainly talk about
Show the title and picture, and fill in the blanks.

Let students listen to Para.1 and answer the question.
Step 3 While-reading
1. Fast reading
1). There are three different places in the story. Try to to find them.
On Peter’s way home. At home. On the school soccer field.
2). This passage can be divided into three parts according to different places.
Part 1—Para.1 Part 2 –-Para.2-6 Part 3 ---Para.7-11
3). Match each part with their main ideas.
