1.Through listening and repeating, students can read the new words.
2.Through cooperation and communication, students can use the sentence patterns: I have a new schoolbag.

1.Students can know it is important to keep the school things well and keep their room clean and tidy.

Analysis of students
Students in grade four have learned English for more than one year, they have learned some words and some basic expressions. Besides, they have curiosity about English and most of them are willing to speak English in front of the class. They can do some actions under the teachers’ guidance, but they can’t use English flexibly. They have certain ability of self-control, but they can hardly focus on study for a long time. So, I will take all these into consideration and design a variety of activities to increase their interests as well as to improve their learning efficiency.
Teaching process
Step1:Warm-up and lead in:
1.Teacher and students great each other.
2.Teacher and students do a chant.
3.Teacher give some commands and students do the actions.
Step2:Presentation:
1.Teacher show her schoolbag and ask students the colour of the schoolbag.
2.Students use the sentence pattern to ask and answer in pairs.
3.Teacher use the schoolbag to ask students to guess what’s in the schoolbag.
4.Students use the sentence pattern to ask and answer in pairs.
5.Students look at the picture and answer the question.
6.Students predict the dialogue.
7.Students listen and answer the questions.
8.Students listen and imitate.
9.Dub the cartoon
10.Fill the the blank.
(purpose:I use pictures to present words and sentences,this can vividly present the words and help students learn English well.)
Step3:Practice:
1.Make a new conversation.
2.Teacher ask students to guess what’s in her hand.
3.(Purpose:In order to make students the real masters of the class, I will guide them to listen and speak English under the teacher’s guidance and design a variety of activities to increase their interests as well as to improve their learning efficiency.)
Step4:Production
1.Group-work:group work:four students a group to ask and guess what is in their hand.Then ask some students to have a presentation.
2.Conclude words and sentences.
3.Tell students to protect our books and keep the school things well and keep their room clean and tidy.
(Purpose:This can help students consolidate words and sentences.)
