学情分析 Grade 8 students are very energetic and eager to show off and take part in interesting activities.This period we will learn If-clause, it's a little difficult.On the other hand, they have learned the simple present tense and the simple future tense. So they can express their opinions simply.
教材分析 The main topic of this unit is decision making, which is related to the daily life of students, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students. The main function is how to talk about consequences using the key structure---the adverbial clause with if .In this period, a picture introduces target language for students to use. The new expressions are presented in speech bubbles above the characters’ heads, making it easy for students to understand and practice the new language. Activity 1b and 1c provide listening and speaking practice. This is a god opportunity for students to improve their listening and speaking skills.In a word, it not only recycles what we have just learned but also will lay a solid foundation for the rest of the unit, so it’s very important.

Step Ⅰ Warming up ( watch a short video) Greet the students and then play a short video “I f you are happy, and you know it, clap your hands” first and then lead Ss. to sing and do together. Let Ss make similar conversations in pairs after the model “-I think I’m going to go to a party this weekend. -If you do, you’ll have a great time.” 1.Look at the pictures on the screen and have a free talk with T.2.Make similar conversations in pairs after the model “-I think I’m going to go to a party this weekend. -If you do, you’ll have a great time.” To draw the students’ attention and make them more familiar with the key words and the target language “first conditional with if to pave the way for the next steps.
Step Ⅲ Pre-listening 1.Let SS look at the first picture of the four and the conversation in it. And then talk about the other three pictures after the model. 2.Guessing game (Finish 1a)First point out the four pictures and get students to tell what they see .Then ask two students to read the conversation in the speech bubbles in the first picture.Sa: I think I’m going to go to the party with Karen and Ann.Sb: If you do, you’ll have a great time.Next, have students look at 1a. and finally ask them to match the statements with responses below. 1.Look at the first picture of the four and the conversation in it. And then talk about the other three pictures after the model. 2.Guessing game (Finish 1a)First tell what the four pictures are .Then read the conversation in the speech bubbles in the first picture.Finally look at 1a and match the statements with the responses below. To make SS more familiar with the adverbial clause with if and pave the way for listening.

教后反思 本节课谈论举行聚会的过程中将会发生的情况,是以学习if引导的条件状语从句结构为重难点的听说课。根据教材学情需要,交互使用多种教学法,精讲巧练,由浅入深,由易到难,由已知到未知,循序渐进地深化教学内容。展开以教师为主导,学生为主体的师生双边活动。主要以直观教学、交际性教学和任务型教学等,贯穿整个教学过程。增加了直观性和趣味性,加大了课堂密度,激发学生兴趣,活跃课堂气氛。具体实施是以课件为载体,通过游戏和动画调动学生积极性,吸引学生注意力,引导学生动脑,动耳,动手,动心,小组合作探究,解决课堂任务,同时对学生进行情感教育,理想教育,突出了重点,突破了难点,教学效果很好。但是个别学生参与度不高,以后要多注意。
