Teaching aims

Step 1 Lead-in.
Greetings
T: Good morning , boys and girls. How are you Are you happy today We will learn the first period of Unit6 . And here we have a special title “Great hopes make great man”. For hopes the first thing in our mind should be our jobs in the future . So let’s enjoy a video together. Please pay attention to the jobs in the song .
After the listening
T: Now boys and girls please tell me what jobs you have heard .
Ss: tailor , doctor , farmer , babysitting , teacher , plumber , dentist , fireman .( T help the Ss , and write these jobs on the Bb)
(设计意图:为本节课设计一个小题目:“Great hopes make great man 伟大的理想造就伟大的人”对学生进行情感态度价值观的教育,帮助他们为自己树立一个人生目标,有积极向上的生活态度。通过歌曲引入,创设一个与工作相关的情景,激发学生学习的兴趣,并复习一些工作的相关词汇)
Step 2 Presentation
T: Bys and girls do you know any other jobs
Now please look at the pictures of job . If you know how to say the job in English , please stand up quickly , and Say it loudly.
1. T shows the pictures of the new words in this class let the Ss say the words quickly , or with high low voice
2. T : Now you know the name of the jobs , When I was a child, I wanted to be a lawyer . So what about you
---What do you want to be when you grow up
T show a picture of the job and help the Ss answer
--- I want to be a/an ….
Then use the same way to practice ask and answer with the question.
T explain “want to be” = “be going to be ”

What are you going to be when you grow up
(设计意图:图片教学形象生动,且将单词放入句子中进行教学。而不是机械的记忆单词。并通过不同形式让学生在竞赛中学习,巩固所学新单词,激发学生的学习兴趣,把枯燥的单词学习变得趣味十足。并在学完后将工作的名词贴到黑板上,为后面听和听之后的学做铺垫。)
Step 3 Practice ( Game )
1. Boys and girls you are so shy to show me: What do you want to be when you grow up Don’t worry . Here I have a game for you.
Let one student come to the Bb to turn the turntable and ask the question choose one student answer .
( While the ask T show the question “What does he/she want to be when he/she grows up ”And help the Ss answer “ He/She wants to be a/an ….”)
2.Pair work.
T show conversation with the pictures of job on the screen . let the students do pair work .
---What does he/she want to be when he/she grows up
--- He/She wants to be a/an ….
Then let 2-3 groups show their dialogue .
3. Emotion
T:I know your dreams all of you have a great dream . please remember : Actions speak louder than words行动比语言更有用,说到不如做到 。
(设计意图:通过玩游戏激发学生的学习兴趣,克服害羞不敢开口说的困难。转盘可以把每一个单词都练习到,避免了学生只说那几个简单的单词。在游戏中练习第一人称对话的同时,教师把第三人称也带入,让学生很自然地进行人称的转化。游戏之后是一个弥补性的生生对话,因为在游戏中不是每一个学生都得到了说的机会,所以接下来的生生对话让每一个学生都参与到说中。随后的情感教育告诉学生我们不能只说不做也是为下一步的教学“如何做”进行铺垫)
Step 4 Listening Work on 1b.
1.T: We know our dreams , do you want to know my friends Tina , Larry and other two friends’ plans Now open your books, let’s listen to four conversations and answer questions. You should match and fill in the blanks. Please pay attention to the question : “How are you going to do that ”
2. Check the answers:
T show the phrases of 1b a,b,c,d .to the Ss and let the Ss read in different ways . Then put up them on the Bb next to the suitable jobs .
3.Now we know how to make our dreams come true , but there also lost so other jobs let’s talk about “ How are you going to do that . ”
4.T show the other phrases of 3a . Let the Ss read the cards of these phrases in different ways .
5. After learning these phrases T give these phrases to the Ss ,let them come to the Bb to put up them next to the suitable jobs.
(设计意图:通过创设情景将听力带入课堂,让同学们来听听我朋友的梦想和计划,在听之后用四个动词短引出3a的相关短语拿到这里来学练(整合教材) 让学生说出如果要想实现其他工作的梦想,我们应该如何计划。并通过贴的方式让学生完成match的任务,同时也考察了学生对短语的理解。)
Step5 Pair work
1. Show
T: Now it’s your turn to show us your dreams and your plan! Please don’t be shy ,and talk with your partners like this :
A: What are you going to be/What do you want to be when you grow up
B: I want to be a basketball player.
A: How are you going to do that
B: I am going to practice basketball every day.
Please don’t worry you can get help on the Bb if you need .
2.After two or three minutes let two or three groups show their conversations.
3. Emotion
T : We have our dreams and we also have the suitable plans for our dreams . Today, you have done a very good job. Your dream maybe come true. But remember you should work very hard and take actions, you will be successful. And I hope you remember : Hold fast to your dreams. They will come true one day!紧紧抓住你的梦想(努力奋斗),总有一天梦想会成真。
(设计意图:在第二次新知识通过听输入后,进行输出的练习,学生的对话难度有了相应的增加,但学生也可以在黑板上的短语提示下完成对话。巩固本节课说学的单词、短语、句型。之后是情感态度价值观的教育:紧紧抓住你的梦想(努力奋斗),总有一天梦想会成真。)

(设计意图:小结、梳理本节课所学知识。把知识点分别归类为蛋糕的三层,单词、短语、句型,让学生对本节课的知识自己是否掌握一目了然。作业设计了两个,回答四个问题和根据四个问题写小短文,学生可以根据自己的能力选择自己会做的题目。四个问题中两个是我们本节课所学,另外两个学生需要预习明天的课才能作答,所以也为下一课的学习做铺垫)
