The analysis of teaching materials
This period is chosen from Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show .The main topic of this unit is entertainment.The function of this unit is to teach students to talk about their preferences and learn to make plans.In the first period Section A 1a-2c,students have learned many different kinds of TV shows and how to talk about their preferences.In the second period, students will continue to review what they learned and learn a new grammar infinitives based on the first period.They have learned a lot about the use of to do sth, so it’s not strange for them.They will be interested in this period.
The analysis of learning condition
Most of the students in my class are active,quick-minded and willing to show themselves. They are easy to accept new things around them.Topics like talking about films and television programs are closely connected with students' life experience. In order to let them enter the humanistic context as soon as possible and accurately understand the target language,our textbooks have provided rich and vivid corpus and pictures to stimulate students' life experience and interest in learning. Having completed the first period of Unit 5, they have mastered the relevant knowledge, vocabulary and functional sentences, such as the English names of movies and TV programs,talking about the sentences of hobbies and plans and describing the forms of films and television programs adjectives. There won't be too many obstacles in learning.
