教学目标 Knowledge Aims: Students are able to use the structure of “How often do you do sth ” and describe their daily life.Students could use the adverbs and adverb phrase of frequency and describe their daily life. Adverbs: always, usually, often, sometimes, never. Adverb phrases: hardly ever. Ability Aims: Students are able to ask and answer the “How often...” question by using adverbs and phrases of frequency.Students can describe and express daily after-class activities by using “ How often...” and adverbs of frequency.Students are able to describe their daily life activities, and improve their communication skills.Emotional Aims:After learning this unit, students will pay more attention to their health and are inspired their enthusiasm and interest in English learning.

Based on this, I make full use of students' existing knowledge and life experience, let them tell about their daily activities, create real-life situations to guide students to learn language in using language, and then use language creatively after learning new language knowledge (learn for use, learn in use, learn to use).(2) To carry out various types of task-based activities, I provide students with space and time for cooperative communication, prompt them to cooperate with their classmates in order to complete their tasks and to engage in inquiry-based learning in order to do so.Analysis of studentsThe students are in eighth grade (good, middle and poor students), curious and worried about learning English and hope to get others' affirmation. Therefore, I try to let them participate in the teaching activities, have more opportunities to speak English, reduce their fear, reduce their learning difficulty through cooperative learning among students, and make them experience the joy of success.

And, each group within 4-5 Ss will get a card with G+new words/phrases.Let Ss relax themselves, make the class active and do the groundwork for the next step to learn new words and phrases.Step 2.Lead-in(2 mins)T asks Ss two questions and let Ss answer questions: Do you like weekends What do you do on weekends They will say Yes, and share their opinions. Arouse Ss’ interest and inspire them to say something about their activities on weekends. Step 3.Task one: Learn the new words and phrases.(13 mins)T shows some pictures about new words and phrases and teaches: exercise, watch TV, help with housework, read and shop/ go shopping. Besides, when T teach the new word, T will sometimes invite relative group to role as a teacher to teach others the pronunciation of that word.(5 mins)Ss look at the pictures and learn the new words. And sometimes the group whose name is new word will be invite to teach the pronunciation of this word.Let Ss have a clear understanding about meaning and pronunciation of each word. What’s more, Ss can build their confidence when speaking English.T asks Ss to raise their hands to read the random words or phrases as soon as quickly and correctly.(2 mins)Ss raise their hands to read the random words or phrases as soon as quickly and correctly.Same as above.T chooses the group who raises hands the most quickly to let others read the new words after them. (boys and girls, group read & exercise and other groups) ( 2 mins)Ss finish 1a and are invited to read the phrases. Ss can consolidate the new words.Step 5. Learn and use the adverbs of frequency. (10 mins) 1bFind the difference. (3 mins)T shows two dialogues. First, invite the “read group” and “exercise group” to role play the first dialogue.Second, the two can specify the next two groups to read the second dialogue.After finished, T asks them where the difference is between the two dialogues. There are four groups to read the dialogues and each group gets one point.Let Ss be fimilar with the sentence structure and inspire Ss to actively participate in class activities. T leads them to learn the adverbs of frequency. (3 mins) First, T explains each Chinese meaning of the adverbs of frequency; then, sorts the frequency adverbs by the frequency of the action from highest to lowest; last, elicits the sentence structure of the two questions and the answers through the dialogue.Ss learn the meaning, pronunciation and usage of adverbs of frequency. Besides, they also can distinguish some differences among them.By ordering the adverbs of frequency, Ss can distinguish them and can have a better understanding of the meaning, pronunciation and usage of them.Practice the adverbs of frequency. (1 mins+2 mins +2 mins)T plays the tape of 1b twice and asks Ss to finish it. After that, T take an example and asks Ss to practice like the example in 2 mins. When time is up, Ss can raise hands quickly to speak their sentences. Each S is a representative of his group and she/he could get a point if she/he speaks her/his sentence correctly in pronunciation and grammar. And, T will still record their points on the blackboard.Ss combine the adverbs of frequency and words&phrases with a sentence.What’s more, some of them will get several points as representative of their group. Practice Ss’ ability of creating sentences and improve the degree of mastery of the meaning and usage of adverbs of frequency.
教学内容与过程 Step 6. Task Three: Practice the conversation. (10 mins ) 1 cRole play the conversation in 1c. ( 3 mins)T invites some volunteer groups to role play the conversation in 1c. Some volunteer groups will be invited to role play the conversation. Improve their oral ability.Pair work. ( 3 mins + 3 mins)T gives an example about the sentence structure of question and two kinds of answer methods, and then gives Ss 3 mins to practice with their desk-mate. Finally, give them 3 or 4 chances to share their conversation in front of class.Ss prepare conversation in 5 mins and 3 or 4 of them can have the chance to share their outcome. Help them to consolidate the sentence questions and corresponding answers.Step 7. Task sublimation ( 3 mins)With the help of the pair work in Task 3, T asks students how often they exercise. After that, T says it is because you’re busy learning several kinds of subjects that you should strengthen sports, improve your physical fitness and lay a good physical foundation for studying to fulfill your dreams.Ss share their opinions and will pay more attention to health.Increase their consciousness, encourage them to focus on health and enhance physical exercise.Step 8. Summary (3 mins)T reviews the adverbs and adverb phrase of frequency and the answer which is used to response the sentence structure of “How often... ”. Ss review the new knowledge following T.Combing through the knowledge of this lesson.
