Step 1 Greeting and review 1.Greet the whole class as usual. 2.Review the sentences in Grammar Focus.by asking the ss to read it together and then ask some of them to recite it. Greet the teacher and review some target language. Warming- up and revision.
Step 2 Presentation 1.Use some pictures on the screen to teach the new words. And then let students read them after teacher, then ask some Ss to read them one by one ,then let students read them together. 2.Present some pictures to do a game to help the Ss master the new words. 1.Watch the picture and pay attention to the pronunciation of the new words. 2. Answer the question. 3.Try to play the game to master the new words . Lead in the class and teach the new words and target language.
Step 3 Practices (1a) 1. Let students read the words in 1a together. Then match the words with the things in the picture. 2. Check the answers. Finish 1a and read these words after the teacher. Consolidate the words .
Step 4 Pair work (1b) 1.Invite some students to read the dialogue in 1b and try to recite the dialogue. 2.Ask students to make similar dialogues by using different pictures. 3.Invite some ss to act out their dialogues. 1.Listen to the conversations and finish some exercises. 2.Read after the tape. Train the students’ speaking and cooperating ability.
Step 5 Listening (1c&1d) 1.Listen and circle the things you hear in 1a. 2.Check the answers. 3.Listen again. Write the things that belong to Linda or Mike. Step 6 Role-play (1e) 1.Student A is Linda and Student B is Mike. Make conversations about the things in 1d. Then change the roles. 2.Invite some pairs to act it out in front of the class.
