教材分析 本课课文情境是Mr Smart要过生日了，而他自己却忘了。家人们给他准备了生日的惊喜，Ms Smart、Sam和Amy在他下班的路上不断问他将会在几点回家，最终Mr Smart在7点准时到家。本单元的知识重点是巩固一般将来时的运用。
课时教学目标 一、知识目标1. 学生能理解：quarter, to, worry2. 学生能运用will来表达某人将要做某事。二、能力目标 通过学习，学生可以完整表达将要做某事。三、情感目标 1. 能够合作学习，在合作中体验英语学习的乐趣。 2. 能够有较强的时间观念，养成不迟到的好习惯。
教学重点与难点 会用英语表达某人将要在什么时间做什么事。
教学辅助 OHP、视频、单词卡片
教学策略 情境教学法，引领学生一步一步体会故事情节。

Step 1: Warm up(about 3 minutes) 1. 出示Activity 1第一幅图，询问时间。T: What’s the time Ss: It’s a quarter to eight.（学习单词quarter）2. 观看Activity 1回答问题。What time does school start What time does Daming get to school （总结大明迟到了，而且很累。）3. 告诫学生上学不要迟到。 两个问题都是针对时间，带领学生通过理解小故事，体会时间的重要性，不要迟到。
Step 2: Lead in(about 2 minutes) 课文背景介绍，提出问题，引入文本。T: Mr Smart will go home now. Will he be late What time will he be home 导入本课课题。
Step 3: Presentation(about 20 minutes) 1. 观看动画，回答问题。Will he be late What time will he be home 2. 再次观看动画，完成相应任务。3. 思考：为什么他们一遍一遍给他打电话？T: Why do they call him again and again 4. 总结：Mr Smart准时到家，赶上大家为他准备的生日晚宴。5. 跟读并模仿课文，注意语音、语调。 以问题带学生逐步体会文本，不断思考，锻炼了学生的综合语言能力。
Step 4: Practice and Consolidation(about 13 minutes) 1. 完成Activity 3，请学生看一看，写一写。2. 写一张自己的作息计划。 给出学生必要的语言支架，请学生自己写，锻炼学生的写作能力。
Step 5: Emotional Education(about 2 minutes) 使学生懂得要养成良好的作息习惯。 让学生养成良好的作息时间，培养学生的守时意识。
