2.To be a careful listener
Jill’s mother is a bus driver at a bus station and she works hard. Next Sunday is her mother’s birthday. Jill wants to choose a birthday present for her mother. But all the presents in shops are expensive and she only has a little money. Then she has an idea. She can make a special present by herself. So she uses a piece of paper to make a card. She draws a basketball on the front of the card, because her mother likes doing sports. On the back(背面), she writes “Mum, thanks for bringing me up!”
On her mother’s birthday, Mary gives the card to her mother. After her mother sees the card , tears (眼泪) fall down her face. “Why are you crying ” Mary asks,“You don’t like the present, right ” Her mother says,“I love it very much. I'm very happy. I have a great daughter like you.”
