难点分析 从知识角度分析为什么难 favorite, subject, geography 等单词本身拼读起来比较复杂。一些描述性的形容词也比较长，favorite作为形容词修饰名词时，它的物主代词要用形容词性物主代词，学生在这一步总是不太清楚。
从学生角度分析为什么难 学生的语调和重音掌握的不够好，在拼读单词时会出现困难。其二，学生受母语影响，对favorite的用法模糊，为什么要用形容词性物主代词来修饰它不够理解。

导入 Step1 Warming up Greeting. Game playing. Do a crossword puzzle, find out today’ key word favorite, and then practice the pronunciation. Ss can express their interests by using the sentence pattern "My favorite subject is..." Give Ss some pictures about different subjects, present the new words and then talk about their preferences.
知识讲解 （难点突破） Step2 Presentation Present the sentence pattern. 1. What is your favorite subject My favorite subject is…and then practice. 2. Teacher will give students some pictures by using the sentence pattern “My favorite …is…”. Ask Ss to read first. Then let Ss make their own conversations to ask about their preferences. 3. Let Ss know more about the teacher by asking questions “What’s your favorite … ” teacher presents the description words at the same time. Enable students to talk about their favorite things and express their preferences in daily life. Step3 Listening ＆speaking Listening practice: Let Ss write down what subjects they have and then talk about their favorite one with partner. Step4 Listening＆speaking　practice 2a: Listen and put the conversation in order. Help Ss pay attention to their pronunciation, especially the intonation and the stress. Help Ss to catch the key information while listening.
