课时分析
本课时围绕唐人街和中国传统舞蹈这两大点重点教授There be句型。学生在四年级有过初步的学习,所以教师通过创设情景,实物举例,让学生能快速了解该句型是“有、存在”的意思。纽约唐人街这一文化背景的铺垫,能够激发学生学习的乐趣,从而快速进入本课知识点的学习中。本课的课堂教学能够带领学生走入西方国家,了解居住在外国华人的生活,通过精讲巧练、由浅入深、由易到难、由已知到未知、循序渐进的方法深化课堂教学内容。学生能用英语进行生活交际,利用这一句型描述生活中的物品。同时通过练习让学生体会合作的重要性。
本课时是外研版三起点六年级上册第二模块第一单元第一课时。该部分通过活动、游戏学生能产生学习英语的兴趣;学生能敢于、乐于、善于开口讲英语,积极参与交流,树立学好英语的信心。因此,在本课的设计中,比较充分地运用了新课程标准的教育教学理念,采用了多媒体课件,考虑了新课标下的学生特点,强调了学生共同合作,参与学习过程。
本课时包括Look,listen and say.和Listen, read and act out.两个板块。Look,listen and say.呈现了我们在生活中讲述跟唐人街有关的信息,培养学生在各种任务中积极与他人合作的良好学习习惯,加深学生对唐人街的了解,培养学生热爱祖国的情感。Listen, read and act out.板块讲述了大明和西蒙之间发的故事和活动,培养学生能用英语进行生活交际,利用这一句型描述生活中的物品。同时通过练习让学生体会合作的重要性。
本课坚持“以学生发展为本”的核心理念,从导入到课堂活动再到巩固练习及作业布置,充分考虑全体学生,面向全体学生的全面发展,让每个学生都能得到锻炼和提高。本课关注学生的学习兴趣和学习体验,培养学生搜集和处理信息的能力、获取新知识的能力、分析和解决问题的能力以及交流与合作的能力。在讲解is 和are 后面接单复数名词时,能运用学生最快理解的字母数数法教授。在讲解纽约唐人街这一文化背景,学生能绕有趣地进入本课知识点的学习中。

教学过程
Step 1 Warm up
(1)歌曲导入,激发学生学习的兴趣
教育家托尔斯泰说过:“成功的教学所必须的不是强制,而是激发学生的兴趣,激发学生参与学习的兴趣,是新课导入的关键。精彩的课堂开头,不仅能使学生迅速地兴奋起来,而且还会使学生把学习当成一种自我需要,自然地进入学习新知的情景。英语歌曲是提高学生英语学习兴趣和学习效率的有效方法之一。"There’s a Great Wall in China."这首活泼的歌曲既能感染学生,调动学生的情绪,歌词中的词组如:”There be” 又能为新课学习作铺垫,自然导入新课。
(2)复习旧知,培养自信。
首先小组内合作利用单词卡片复习本模块的单词,并有小老师带领大家一起记忆单词。然后看大屏幕,回答问题:Where’s Houston Where’s San Franciso Where’s New York
这样不仅复习了旧知识,渲染了学习英语的良好气氛,而且渗透了小组合作的思想。
Step 2 Presentation
(1)Lead in
出示一张唐人街的图片,问:Do you know where it is What can you see in this picture 请学生回答你的问题。有些学生可能对唐人街有所了解,肯定他们的发言和大胆尝试。对学生说:“Daming现在在美国表兄的家里,他正在给家人发送email。他想念家人吗 他今天了解到了关于美国的什么情况呢 让我们一起看看。学过今天的课文。我们要试着使用这些语言介绍一个我们自己去过的有趣的地方.”
(2)看动画,听录音。认真听Daming 和Simon 之间的对话,然后判断大明是否想念中国,为什么?老师可以引导学生得出正确的回答。通过第一遍录音学生们可以了解课文大意。
(3)再听录音。在听的过程中划出文中的重点单词、短语和疑难点,然后组内进行交流讨论,由小组代表把找出的重难点分类写在黑板上。逐一解决。最后看大屏幕老师的汇总,加深记忆。
(4)听录音并跟读,在跟读的过程中划出文中的“There is / There are…”.大屏幕上会显示这三个句子,让学生们认真观察这三个句子,找出它们的共同点与不同点,然后小组讨论、展示,学生们不可能一下子就能发现“There be”这个语法点,需要老师积极的引导。通过孩子们自己的总结引出了“There be”语法点,能够加深学生们的理解。
(5)再次听录音跟读,注意模仿语音语调。听读完毕,学生们进行小组内读课文,先由小组长指导,然后组内分角色朗读课文,最后进行展示。在这一环节中,老师要对小组的表现进行积极的评价,鼓励学生大胆地说英语。
Step 3 Extension Consolidation
(1)歌曲“There’s a Great Wall in China”.大屏幕上显示一张长城的图片,要求学生们用“There is / There are…”进行描述。然后学唱There’s a Great Wall in China”缓解一下学习的疲劳,并能巩固本课的重要知识点。
(2)PK赛。小组内讨论如何用“There is / There are…”描述教室里的物品。然后进行PK,看哪个小组描述的又多又准。
Step 4 Summary
总结本模块的关键点。特别注意“There is / There are…”的区别,并能在课后运用它们描述见到的事物。看一下评价表,找出获胜的小组,进行奖励,并鼓励其他小组继续努力。
Step 5 Homework
1.朗读并背诵本节课学习的单词。
2.朗读并背诵活动一的对话。
3.朗读活动二的课文,用横线画出课文中含有there be的句子。

本课的教学对象是六年级学生,他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇,具有一定的英语学习的积极性与主动性,具备了一定的英语语言运用能力,求知欲增强。因此,在新知识传授的同时,教师要尽可能多的为学生创造良好的语言环境,给学生充足的语言“习得”机会,让学生在学习中积极参与、大胆发言,从而形成积极的情感态度和自主学习的能力。本单元是新标准英语六年级上册第二模块的内容,重点是让学生理解There be句型以及能在实际生活中应用。
本课时是外研版三起点六年级上册第二模块第一单元第二课时的教学内容,该部分课本定位Unit 1 Activities 3—4。本课时通过听说练习和小游戏的方式来呈现。复习巩固句型“There be”句型,让学生进一步熟悉某地有某物的句型。本课时包括Listen and say.和Practise.两个板块。Listen and say.向我们呈现了几幅唐人街的图片,也因为贴近学生的实际生活,然后结合practise一起,更能激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
本单元是新标准英语六年级上册第二模块的内容,重点是让学生理解There be句型以及能在实际生活中应用。在以前的英语学习中已经接触过There be句型的基本用法,很多学生都已经会用There is和There are来进行简单的描述。课堂上我用游戏的方式加以训练,加深学生对There be句型的理解,以及There is和There are的区别,巩固了以前所学的知识点。
在课文的教学中我设计的几个环节由浅入深,针对重难点进行突破。为培养学生良好的学习习惯,在课文的教学中先让学生听录音了解课文的大体内容,找出新单词和重点句型。再让学生听录音跟读课文,然后让学生读课文深入理解课文并根据课文内容回答问题。在教学中,我发现学生能分清There is和There are,并能对简单的事物进行描述,但对于稍微复杂一点的图片描述还不够灵活,在以后的教学中应多加注意。

Tips:there be 结构
is + 可数名词单数(如:a dog, an orange…)
a.there 不可数名词(如:juice, milk, water, money, time, meat, Chinese dancing…) are + 可数名词复数
b.There be结构表示“在某地有某物”,结构中be的形式由紧挨着be的所有物的形式决定,遵循上面1这条规则。
小试身手: 用is/are把句子补充完整
